While playing FH, I've written down 4 little ideas for FH 2.

"Teams can only see their team's vehicle icons" I think it would be a good idea if your team could only see the icons for your team's vehicles in FH2. This would make it so you could enter or exit a vehicle such as a tank or car without giving away your position to the enemy via the minimap. It would also discourage stealing enemy vehicles because they could see the icon appear or disappear.

"Traction loss in FH2?" I was wondering if it would be possible to code traction loss in FH2. Like for instance on some European map, you drive a car into some mud and it gets stuck, or on a desert map, a tank slides down a big sand dune. Something like that.

"See weapon not in use on back/side" It would be more realistic if you could see the weapons a player had just by looking at him. I mean like a bazooka on his back while he's holding a pistol. He takes out the bazooka and you see the pistol holstered at his side.

"Sniper scope/binocular glint" A rifle scope or binocular glint could be seen from far away if the light hits it correctly, giving away the position of the user.

Deffinitly all great ideas sd love to see implemented. Thinking about the snipers, an idea I had along tim ago resurfaced; what if when a sniper moves his binoculars over an infantry unit, the other snipers (not sure if all teammates should) see the icon on their minimap. that way a pair of snipers could worka as a team. (if the spotter got assist points that is) probably to hard to code but a suggestion...

Good ideas, those, especially the glass glint one, although I think it'll get pretty hard to code.

Good one, that, although it's probably not possible either:(.

Something even better, if you'll let me dream a little, would be that the grey vehicle icon was visible to the team that used it last. So that if I steal a Panzer IV from a German outpost my team captured and then step back out to repair it, I don't give away my position to the Germans by showing them a gray tank icon.

:agreed I'd also like it if when you looked down, you actually saw yourself instead of just an arm with a gun floating around in mid-air. Seriously, sometimes while I play I feel like a ghost or a "cursed hovering disembodied rifle-wielding arm of fright" or something:eek:.

i like the idea of the scope glare, but it would only be realistic on relatively brighter maps.

I'm pretty sure that a dev (Lobo possibly?) a few months ago said that it was impossible to code a vehicle to have different traction on different sections of a map in BF42. You could make all vehicles slow down, but it would affect the entire map. In BF2 though, it might be possible. I suppose you could just code mud etc. as shallow water - that slows down vehicles and people pretty well.
