If you want flashy dynamic lighting in a hurry, download Ground Control from GameSpy. Awesome game, awesome effects. Anyways, yes, some lights, et cetera would be great. Search lights, flares, muzzle flashes, head lights, and so on. But if it gets to laggy, I don't know if I want it in after all.

I'm down with a night commando raid. You blow up X objectives and the tickets start to bleed? Tracers too!

lights on an airstrip would be cool, you can find them much easier on a nightmap and then again lights on airplanes would be great

Not the fighters or night bombers of course!?! you dont want to be easily seen when trying to bomb a target! but then again what else is there? @RandomPercision: thanks lol

I hope this is still ON topic Speaking of lighting effects. Call of DUty has some fun effects with their tracers (AA) and search lights. It would be nice to see this in a night map even if for effect. Burning buildings would be nice as well as COD does it for the Russian Maps.

Glowing runway lights and glowing tracers aren't "dynamic lights." Dynamic lights are those which are light sources. Even games like HL2 don't have much more than a few light sources. Katyuska rockets for example would make cool light sources, shadows racing around as the rockets left.
