FrederfMaybe the engineer could have satchel, wire, ect ect weapons in his kit, but spawn with 0 ammo for it. And have to go to the correct place to fill his ammo for each device.
Exactly what I said, this would be the easiest most time efficient way for the devs to get this done. I dont need the devs to spend months working on wire deployers or crazy sandbag animations. Thats just nonsense theres more important things to worry about then construction animations.
I would prefer such a class, let us call him "Mr. Pioneer". He is responsible for detecting and removing and mines and on some maps he is able to build up mobile spawn points ,barb wire, sandbags, tank blocks and/or camo grids. Best thing: spawn more than one kit and allocate the building options to everyone of this kits; This class should only pickupable and also feature a very limited amount of constructing stuff or only able to constructing stuff, while an support truck is near to him. Maybe as an optional Idea, I prefer that a commander could order a couple of this kits as a special ability :rawl: this would be a great extention for tactics.
Thats not a bad idea actually, pick up kits of this type would be great, maybe a limit of 2 sandbag walls per person and 2-3 sections of barb wire along with other things, but the only weapon he could have is a rifle or SMG. Very good idea, maybe 2 pcikups per side of this type, but still might never be used unless its done in a certain way taht peopl feal the need to do it.
I love the ability to bunker up. It's so much better then lone soldier type stuff. Its much more cooperative setting stuff up and stuff. < lol Maybe the commander can be assigned a certain amount of bunkers/trenches/MG nests he can deploy on the map (just about anywhere defending flankz forward outpost ect) And these defenses will stay unless they are blown to shreds, or the commander repositions his def's
But as we said befor its really unrealistic for someone to call in a mg nest and it falls from the sky by parachute. Just not real, i think it should definatly be a job of sombody to build it, maybe 1 soldier get barb wire another the sandbags and they have to work together to create the defence, or we keep the iea from above about pickup kits.
