Imagine that your in the middle of a firefight, low on ammo, and no ammo crates to be seen. Wouldn't be great if your teamate could give you some of their ammo? Is there any talk of this being implemented in any way?

Good idea! Could use the T button when close to a teammate. Only people with same gun can give ammo though : )

Great idea - I seem to remember playing a game demo a while back were you could do this - what I can't remember is what game it was :p

Hopefully you'll be able to throw grenades to your teammates with the pin still in

I'd like to see the Red Orchestra type of ammo sharing in FH2... as in, picking the ammo pouches off of a dead soldier. ^_^

Yeah just like throwing ammo/medic packs on the ground in vanilla BF2 but they would be changed to look more like nades and mapped by a seperate key (possibly using the E key too) to perform the action.

i support this entirely.. i hope the devs are considering this.

i think you should be able to give out ammo to people that have the same main weapon as you do..

so let's say you and your buddy are rifleman.. and your buddy runs lows on lee enfield ammo.. you should be able to give him ammo because your main weapon is a lee enfield.. and the handweapon mdoel for the "givable" ammo should be modelled to reflect the main weapon.

is it possible to code player generated objects (the throwable ammo bag, for instance) to replenish specific types of ammo? also, can you make it so that when you hand over a clip to your buddy, it reduces the amount of clips you have for your main weapon by one? if this is not codeable.. maybe an alternative way to code this would be to have the clips work towards the number of clips you have for your main weapon.. so like the medbag, you would right click, and instead of the clip being picked up by a teammate, it is sent to your main weapons clip count.

hope that makes sense.

Interesting, but is it actually possible? :)

Imagine using the T key as mentioned. You could even toss over the clip. There could be an animation for that - Just as support in BF2 toss over an ammo bag. I would atually have loved to have players able to toss over wepaons i.e. A mate runs out ammo, his mate presses a simple key and you see his hand toss a pistol from the butt. The player requiring it either touches the gun and picks it up or has to press G to do so. In fact, I'm thinking the ability to drop anything. You and a teammate are pinned dow: He's behind a crate, you are at a wall, he has no nades, you do, but all fire is coming in your direction, you poke out, you get shot...So you use a drop key to toss over a nade to him (no pin pulled), he then pulls the pin and passes it over to them, they can't pass it back - He shoots, he scoes!! I'm just not sure about the organisation of the kit space n BF2, if you can add singl items to a kit... Or if the enginesupports dropping (Actually tossing a kit).... Y'know, if you were to toss a pistol to an enemy it would hit him an maybe hurt him slightly.... But then that brings in knife throwing, which we shouldn't have for regulars

I always like the DoD way of Maschine Gunners only having one box of ammo and they would rely on they rifleman comrades to drop ammo for em. Then again DoD was an Infantry only mod and the MGs ruled the maps.

I don't think the good ol' suppl y truck need be made obsolete, but at least in the thick, a good toss of a pistol or a nade or a clip could be handy... And cool to see, I think...Maybe, we could have a request in the voice overs with a "I need ammo" or "I'm out!"...Wait a sec.... We have THAT! BF2 :) - Now all we need is the ability and style in given the clip and pisol wouldn't you say... I'm thinkng, select the rifle, use T, you toss a clip in the direction you are facing, Select Greade, press T and you toss a grenade (with pin in) to your buddy, select the pistol, use T, you toss a clip in the direction, maybe use G, and you toss the pistol in the direction...But this brings alot of question to: What happens when you try to pick a kit on the ground and you aren't close enough? Hmmm...
