it to bad that the bf2 engine can handel it it wood be great if we ca make ships more like titans in bf2142 That you can realy walk trow the ship guns can be destroyd sapretly

on maps whit ships it whood also be cool if you make a difrent squad system like you dont become a squad leader but a ship captain and you can move the ship like the commander in bf2142

That means making a simple removable trailer and hitch isn't possible.

Ctz has already coded a working, mobile Ark Royal onto the Wake Island 2007 map, with launchable Swordfish. I don't see what all this argument is about, it's possible to put ships in exactly the same way they were in BF42.

Is that so? we have heard so much about they need to be static due to the enginge. but that sounds like great news! otherwise I'm confident that our trusted devs will find a solution to the problem!

and all of beckenbauers suggestions sounds great, but about the squad-commanding system, it would be better (as blackcat said) with a new squad-system.

So how come you cant modify a tank to make it liek a ship. You can drive it and use turret separetly, thats what they did in PR ? I dont really see a big problem. Or use the existing boats make them bigger, instead of the little MG put the bigg turrets and finish!

Sure Michael, but ships are not that simple. People must be able to walk over ships, use ladders and we need boats spawning on the ships, just like bf1942. BF2 itself have nothing like that, so maybe itĀ“s impossible to do, because DICE were not thinking on that when making the engine (or whoever made this engine).

I'm hoping the ship thing comes through because I've always been a fan of the large scale ship engagements. Would like to see Bismark vs Prince of Wales again as well.

Now, I wonder how the torpedos will work couse they were quite difficult to manage in FH1. I'm talking about torpedos dropped by plane.

The Battleship mod guys put out another call for help to keep their mod going. I wonder if it would be best for everyone (FH2 and Battleship) to join forces to better FH2?

The Battleship mod is actually pretty cool and they have done a nice job with the ships they have. The old navy battles of the old engine are not going to happen exactly as they did before, but I think people would be very surprised at what they have done with the ships so far.

With the Battleship mod on deaths doorstep and FH2 needing help/maps sooner than later, I just see a good fit here.

Just an idea, but seems a no brainier to me.;)
