I did a quick search, however it wasn't that in-depth so forgive me if this has been discussed before. I am getting quite fed up with soldiers parachuting down with their weapons drawn, engaging enemy that is beneath them. IRL if your weapon is not in the perfect posiition you will break a bone or two on impact, yet alone trying to engage targets as you impact. Has FH2 thought about this and is it possible in the BF2 engine?

Oh yes oh yes--I'd love to see paratroops have to land before they can start hucking nades. Even better, make like real Fallschirmjaeger and force them to drop with only a pistol or MP40; make them retrieve their kit from dropped packs like in real life. And what's up with air-droppable bazooka guys?

To be fair, if paratroops are this hindered, I'd also like to see the possibility of having transports air-drop heavier weaponry, like light antitank guns, recoilless rifles, etc.

Should be hard to code, as BF 2 has a "holster weapon" status already ingame.

I didnt know that. I like nixing it. Id also like to see the ability to sprint a little faster or longer if you holstered or used a strap to sling your weapon on your back. As well as a zooker or heavy machine gunner be weighed down in terms of sprinting.

That's what I thought too "wouldn't"

There's nothing funnier than a whole team of allies parachuting out of the C-47 in Foy dropping satchel charges out like they're some kind of airborne heavy bomber platoon. Lol.

Well, i agree. It shouldnt be to hard to disable weapons when the person is in flight.

Well it should not be too hard and since it makes alot of sense it should be done but not for only airdrops but for just normal infantry on ground like someone mentioned befor. It would be beter to use a strap then aholster, try and holster a M1-Grand or a Thompson.

That's funny you should mention that, because that's the reason I posted this thread LOL. Just got done playing FOY and my team was all throwing satchels and grenades down . Okay, okay, I was guilty too. But only cause the option is there for me  :deal:
