Just lil things im worried about, one is if the commander gets a scout plane instead of the Satelite thing, then it please, please should not detect infantery at all. Because its just unrealistic if you are hiding in a bush, then someone sees you on his minimap and kills you. IMO any detecting device the commander can use, should not show infantery.

The second thing is typical, please make the panzer 2 turret as fast as it was in 0.67. As it is now its even more useless than it was before. It was atleast a good infantery and armoured vehicle killer, but now on shorter ranges your not even able to turn the turret as fast as the infantery runs around you.

Also timed fuse for AT grenades would be nice...

Ah and another thing i experienced is that the bottom of tanks seems to be a little to strong... i was in a foxhole, when a T 34 rolled over me, i shot his bottom with the pzfst 30 and it didnt even smoke :uhm:

EDIT: Please make that tanks who arent supposed to be able to shot themself on the back. It also happens for tigers since 0.7... the barrel is longer than the tigers back and it could never shoot itself

Im more worried about hardware requirements. Seeing as Fh for bf42 is pushing the engine of the game. Just imgaine what it will do in FH2.

im with you with the 1st comment. one of the worst things i disliked about bf2 was the uav/satellite scan. it made a mockery of teamwork. why bother making an organised attack when you can be lit up like an xmas tree at the click of a button?

ive played on organised servers, ands its far more fun, and realistic to have spotters/scouts around the map, calling out enemy positions and movements. ive been that spotter and its SO much more rewarding to have all your guys lieing in wait for the enemy, KNOWING that its you and your spotting thats effectively led to their destruction. as an attacker too, it instantly takes away from all of the skill/stealth you may have achieved by careful use of terrain to mask your position, when in one UAV later, you show up like a fairy on everybodies minimap.

I wouldn't be so worried. FH really pushed BF42's limits because it is an old an inefficient engine. FH1's Kingtiger, for example, is more beautiful than any vanilla BF2 vehicule, and that was with Bf42's crappy engine! While FH2 will have more detailed models and textures than vanilla BF2, it won't be as worse as in FH1, were the devs really pushed the BF42 engine to its very limits. I don't think the requirements for FH2 will be very different than the requirements from BF2.

I have doubts that modders could fix that. Seems like a game engine change. But what do I know. I would like the scout plane to (and the UAV, actually) to move across the map. Having it stay in one spot for 30 seconds is wrong.

Stauff, server antics perhaps?? If you are playing anygame halfway modern, you probably can handle FH2. I was playing BF2 on a 400FSB machine, FX5700 Ultra 128mb and 768 mg RAM, Aud 2 ZS soundcard and really had no problems at the mid to lower settings.

Meh, UAVs' don't hurt teamwork that much. It is annoying when you get spotted in an almost fool proof hiding spot because of it though.

But a low flying scout plane should be able to pick out pee-sized infantry running across the field so it makes sense. It makes even more sense for BF2's UAV's which are just big flying cameras.(Even if they behave like some wonky radar in the game.)

Also, could tanks back then even(or even today) turn there turrets fast enough to track inf that are right next to your tank?(I wouldn't know.) Any tank that has inf swarming around it is in trouble, you shouldn't get that close without support.

I'm not sure what all the effects would be of my fallowing suggestion but..

What about giving the tank's barrel a collision mesh.. this would keep tanks from just.. swinging them trough houses and trees, and it would keep them from shooting themselves, it would be more realistic, but..

Giving it a collision mesh would mean it can exert force on other objects, right, which could cause tanks to flip around/over if they turned their barrel against a static or something?

Anywys.. just a suggestion, if it works out well, i would like to see it.

I heared it was like that in a early fh version. It made tanks able to glitch through houses and stuff...
