I was wondering if there is any possible way to alter the bf2 engine so weapons can have two projectile types... (just a thought...)

No i don't think so unless EA makes it open source, which will happen when pigs fly over a frozen hell.

On the map Gazala, could a couple of those Ammo giving kits be placed at 150th Box? The 2 pounder guns at that flag run out of ammo very quickly, and it would help so much if those kits could be included there, even just one kit.

Uberhauptstormfuhrer;4372972Its impossible to give a weapon 2 kinds of projectiles in bf 2 engine, for this same reason a weapon can't fire a bullet and a bayonet.

While this is true, I wonder if it was possible/viable to have three weapon slots for one weapon: one being the current bayonet mode (number 1), the second being the current bullet fire mode (number 3) and the third a mode, in which the bayonet is attached but you fire a bullet (number 2), but with less accuracy (due to heavier weight).

At the moment, when you switch from 3 to 1, it takes some time to attach the bayonet, after which you can attack. Switching from 1 to 3 doesn't take practically any time at all (for some reason). Now what we'd need is that from mode 3 to 2 or 1, you need some time to attach the bayonet, but from 2 to 1 or 1 to 2, no time is needed, allowing you to switch the way you attack quickly. Almost as if you really had 2 fire modes.
