PickerelI would like to see it still be repairable when the tank is on fire, because if someone jumps out to fix a burning tank they can still be shot to pieces, or the much weakened tank can.
It wouldn't matter as far as that goes. The only difference is, when the guy jumps out and you shoot him, he'll be holding a rifle instead of a wrench, and you would still be able to finish off the damaged tank.
I repaired a Burning Enemy Wespe and I won alot from it 51 kills. :) but then some idiot used the wespe as a tank and drove right into there base and I died!
I agree, repairing a burning tank is ridiculous, I remember last week, I was in a Tiger, a T-34 from far put me in fire ( so i couldnt move and shoot him), so i went out of my tank, repair it until i can move, then I just shoot it back and destroy him!LOL!
SputtyBiased polls are really annoying. Not voting for that reason. Next time; think. There's more than one opinion and just attacking another's opinion with sarcasm invalidates your argument
Wow someone thinks their high and mighty. Excuse me and the other "biased" poll makers out there that don't meet your standards Mr. I'm too good to vote.
I think the way that tanks can be immobilized without destruction is pretty cool. It adds depth to the game. When a tank is disabled, it turns into a sort of stationary machine gun nest. I've seen some cool use of damaged tanks in Arnhem, like disabling the Tiger as it enters the town, killing the driver who stupidly gets out, and turning the guns on the unsuspecting suckers crossing the bridge! PS: Sorry to dig up an aging thread, but it's a good subject dont you think?
Once a tank is on fire, that should be it -- it shouldn't be repairable. Tankers ability to effect repairs out in the field was pretty limited (they typically carried extra links for broken tracks but even that would take awhile to fix) and under fire they would bail out of the tank. If they simply threw a track but they thought the tank was in danger of capture before it could be recoverd they would typically destroy it before abandoning it
Mmmmm....Fire extinguisher to engineers? No,this doesn´t fit.Their bags are full of everything.
