Bofors 40mm was also known as the "Pom Pom" due to the sound it made. I also don't like the MG42 & MG34. Panzer II cannon sounds a little weak (tock tock...) should be louder than a rifle me thinks
Please get rid of the bacround sound on.... O man I forget the name. I the beach map with the huge tal bunkers. The unrealistic backround sound if erally confusing, slows the game down, and I can't consentrate on figuring out were the enemy is shooting becasue you can hear the talking/screaming even is their aren't any!
I wouldn't mind a new thompson sound. The current dice one sounds like a bb gun. As for the browning 30cal, i find its extremely LOUD compared to all the other sounds.
The AA guns on the fletcher in the Desert Rose map are silent. What are the names of those? They seem to be bugged as well.
I was wondering when someone would finally bring it up... the 0.65 sounds are totally ridiculous.. shit man, I'm going to update my soundpack right now.
the allied fighter in sector 238 (dont remember the name) the Mustang 1 sound is bugged, in my comp it sounds like a scratched CD
to bad for me to say this but the sounds SUCk they should sound more to bg42 every thing should be different like KABLAM for the sherman ya right not that god dam loud tghe .30 and thew .5 cal should be changed big time, the engine noise (including start up sound)on every single tank should be different the and will FH convert to bf2 when it comes out it seem to have a way better engine to do more stuff with like tank treads coming off. the sherman tread are to wide theres alot i can say about this mod in both god and bad ways! but over all the FH team did good work.
BAMT34/85 sound is gay and WTH is wrong with the 30cal sound i think its fine ..
Are you using highest sound detail and 44kHz? I've noticed that different sound settings give totally different sounds. It sounds loud, but it doesn't sound anything like a machine gun. Individual bangs with space in between don't really define machine gun.
i agree! the .50 cal sound in XWW2 is excellent, damn near perfect. the sound of tank engines needs to be scrapped and redone. but give them credit, these are good sounds: Lee tank in movement Stug engine No.2 Firing Grease Gun
Most of the sound suggestions here I would agree with. The .50 and .30 are pretty bad, as with some of the coax guns on the British tanks (are those .30s as well?).
The other one that REALLY bothers me is the sound of most tanks starting up. It is EXTREMELY loud and damm near makes my ears bleed.. then moving, firing the gun, and taking his is super quiet. A little funny, no?
King, I look forward to your new soundpack.
