If it's not the player who took X time to spawn but it's the Higgins boat that takes longer to reach the beach.

-The Higgins boat acts as spawn point -Players spawn normally after 15 sec. -Higgins boat could be on a timer before he starts/is able to move or move slowly (sound would create the illusion of fast movement) or the Higgins boat starts moving when X number of players are aboard.

This would give players time to spawn and storm the beach as a group, I hope.

Just a different approach than Phillmurray's idea.

True... but arent these so called "casual" players the ones who complained about one hit kills, and no nose cams etc. Please the fans, not the casual players, theyre the ones who start a game, dont join a squad, wonder off on their own, steal jeeps to get to planes when they cant fly em, tk and score whore! Why appease them? And like what was said earlier, the spawn method WAS used on that WOLF server for FH42, and if I remember it was one the only server left with players on it after people started moving to other games. If we listened to the masses FH2 would be BF2 with WWII models. So lets not say an idea will work but claim others will hate it. The die hard players should have the say!

Not that long ago I suggested this to Rhino (PR dev) on Total Battlefield. Don't know if he even thought about it. Spawn waves would be great for PR, not really for FH2.

If theres bunkerflags at the beach like in FH1, why not make them spawnable for allies only? That would give less camping.

IIRC in Charle SPRector the Germans didn't spawn IN the bunkers, but a good 15 second walk behind them - it was significant enough to allow the Allies to race up the beach if they'd managed to get a rifle ace or sniper to clear a bunker. I expect we'll see similar in Dog Green, although we won't have big SPR bunkers this time.

Is it even possible to have spawn waves in bf2? It would be nice if the mapper could decide if he wants spawnwaves on his map or not. That would add some variety to the maps and spawnwaves could be used where they fit the gameplay of the map. Generally i support spawnwaves!

Thnkyou. I just thaught. Maybe it could be an option like you suggested. For example aswell as having co-op, Conquest, Push and excetera. You would have "Co-op 2", "Conquest 2", "Push 2". The "2" (Just for example, Could be called anything) meaning it uses spawn waves. That way its up to the server host and the joiners to decide. Then after time survey wich servers are more popular and make a decision as to which mode to keep... That way everybody's happy!

nope, because server admins do not care about other game modes than conquest... this they have proved now for years.. so it would be many hundreds of wasted development hours... and this is a fact, just ask PoE2, or have a quick look at how many servers are running anything else than Cq 64 mode.... none.
