... on on Alam Halfa and El Alamein. Both maps have the "shield anti tank" version, but the AA version would actualy be better placed. Since the flak vierlings have been removed on both maps, a propper AA 88mm would offer a bit better protection against raping enemy aircraft. The shield version is usseless becouse there never are any enemy tanks so close to the base, and they only have 5AA shells, and are harder to aim at aircraft. Just a sugestion :).

since when have the flank vierling been removed ? did i miss something ?

and there is 1 AA Flak 18 in the east of the map.

hitting fighters with the 88 is very hard no matter what ammo or visibility you got, and hitting the beaufighter with the 88 is very easy no matter what ammo. though i must admit the shild blocks the view

While we are on subject anyways, some 88's really need their camo nets removed. Like the one on Mareth flag. I want to kill Beaufighters with it! And the one on El Alamein, front flag. Deir el Dhib I think. There are more 88's that can't do what they are good for. :( Save the 88!

Lol i shot down a hurricaine with a 88 but back on subject I agree they could remove the camo net. and would it be possible to create a ammo that explodes near enemy vechiles? Simulating the crews setting the timers on the HE shells they fire.

and there is 1 AA Flak 18 in the east of the map.

I am aware of that. It's just that the 88 in the base is pretty useless, with or wibouth cammonet, it still only has 5AA shells so it runs low on ammo pretty fast anyway wich is more irritating then the net unless you park the AA truck there. It's just now the vierlings have been removed on both maps, the AA version 88 would be more apropriate then the the AT, so germans can get a bit more AA defence to compenaste the loss of the vierlings. Also if the flag in the east gets captured by the allies germans barely have any AA left, and that makes the base even more vonerable, since the 20mm doesn't do that much dammage.

Just wondering, is it intentional that a) you almost can't aim at planes at all with the shielded version and b) that particular version is so much more often than the other one? And who got the idea the vierling has been removed? Actually one has been placed at the most northern flag of Mareth, being the first useful vierling actually.
