Yes, since adding a side means a lot of work: Making player models (plus animations and such), gear and such for that nation. Then you also need to include a lot of skins (so that the stuff all has the correct labels and marks on it) etc. Implenting all that costs time better spend on creating more content for a current nation. However the Americans and Italians and such are certainly planned. And some equipment of them is already in (such as the Italian tanks, and ofcourse the British use a lot of American content).

FH2 focusses on the main African front for release #1: Which were the Germans (and Italians) versus the British (and a bunch of allies such as the Aussies, New Zealanders and such). They went for the two main parties involved. America is less important since they only joined in later (when they attacked the axis forces from the back by comming from the northwest of Africa).

... and get ludiscrously pwnd at Kasserine Pass

Pietje;4025223Mwah, i wouldnt worry too much about it. Germans squads in real life revolved around the machinegun. The limited amount of MP40's shouldnt hurt at all. That is, IF the devs implent it properly. Thats something im quite worried about.

So the automatic weapons kits will be limited, proportionnally to the number of players... A much better way would be to allow one MG34 or one Bren per squad (and only to squadmembers), it would reenact the squad organization around the automatic support weapon And how about the Lafette tripod, uuuuuupppps, no, sorry I meaned the SMLE? not very important, but it would be great to see these rifles instead of Lee-Enfield N°4 MkI, the model is pretty much the same, but there were far more N°1 Mk III in 1941-42

The first year everyone had a bugged editor to deal with. Didnt help matters. Plus, all the non-modern times mods, have to make everything from scratch. Almost nothing from the original game can be used. Thats why nothing but modern combat mods have been released yet. Not any mods with a decent amount of content anyway.

'[79thSgt-D;4025659']A much better way would be to allow one MG34 or one Bren per squad (and only to squadmembers), it would reenact the squad organization around the automatic support weapon
I think the amount of machineguns that a squad receives should depend on what company their in. So if your playing on a map as a German Panzergrenadier or as part of an Aufklarungkompanie then your squad should receive two machineguns instead of one. Dont know how the Allies handled this sort of thing though. An example of an Motorized Afrika Korps Schützekompanie. Maybe an little extreme example but ok. Schützenkompanie b The automatic weapons for the Germans should actually increase after 1942. Afterall automatic weapons became more common. Especially after 1943 with the introduction of the Stg 44. Thats something that shouldnt be forgotten.
Me too, I adore to be able to reenact as a Tommy or Jerry. No offense meant towards the other main powers ofcourse (Russians, Americans, Japanese) and all other nations. They are just lower on my list. =p

Ahh, reenacting. If only i had the money to do such a thing, sigh. If i had the money i wouldnt mind reenacting as an Krankenträger or as an Kraftwagenfahrer or something like that. But on the other hand thats what we got FH2 for! :)

@Pietje I was talking about a general way of sharing the automatic weapons

Don't forget in BF a squad is not limited to six soldiers, but to six respawning soldiers, so the number of weapons is increased as well, plus there will be stationnary weapons, and the mounted automatic weapons on tanks and vehicules

This LRDG Chevy will be a nice covering fire platform with its two automatic weapons (can both the two MG fire in the same direction?)

All teamwork is 100% dependant on the players on the server. You can lead a horse to water, but you cant make him drink it. :) FH2 has everything needed for great teamwork, people will just need to do it. edit: The FH community, generally displays a high level of teamwork and maturity. :)
