I was playing FH and took note that the fog level is so high on some maps with tanks, and planes that the planes can't do their jobs right. I think a good way to go would be to have the fog up high, then do what DC did with their DC nofly Zone map, make clowds, that way planes have places to fight where AA gunners, can't interfear, and big heavy bombers like the B-17/B-25 can do proper attacks from above the clowds. This would add alot to gameplay and atmostphare to the maps, and the tactics of pilots would change to a more realistic manner, no more Dive bombing B-17s, and Torpedo bombers would be able to do their job, drop torpedos, witch do work in FH, then fly into clowds.

A no fly zone style BoB map would be sweet, and the clouds idea is great. Alot of FH maps have the view range so short planes are useless.

my experience with that No Fly Zone map was that it sucked something that begins with a and ends with ss

but that doesn't mean FH couldn't do it right

I think it would drasticly change the way air combat in FH is done. No one would bitch if they got shot down for coming outa the clowds at the worng angle, we would have a more realistic and fun Midway, better Phillipenes, and great Bocoge. Dogfights would take place at higher altitudes were only the best man would win, torpedo bombers/bombers could attack boats from above like they did, and fighters could dogfight. Not only that but it would make ground battles better, without planes owning the infantry because they are dogfighting it out in the clowds, AA gunners could focus on AA guns more, and bombers could attack the way they did drop the bombs from high up in the clowds down on the ground, no more need for B-17s to dive bomb. *Thinks of actualy hering that Screeming sound from Stuka doing proper Dive bombing runs*

Yes, this idea is good and would be better with different clouds at different heights.

PS. No offense, you spelled "cloud" wrong. lol :).

"blowing" clouds would be ideal since they would eliminate pixel shooting for the most part and would allow the aerial combat enviroment to be dynamic

I think that that might be pushing it a bit, could cause lag big time if they move. I just wan't the FH maps that are out now to support the fly boys better thats all. The game lacks cloud cover for planes to fight in away from AA guns, and ground combat, all they do is strafe/plane camp because thats all planes can do in the mod, so adding in clouds would make them able to dogfight without haveing to deal with AA gunners, and MGs all day. It would make dogfighting part of the Mod and give flyboys a place to fight outside the damn ground battles that take place. Planes are used only for ground attack in this game, and this could change that. I say someone get the devs to make a map like that or mod one thats in alreddy and then run it on a pub and see what happens, if they start to dogfight, then do it to the rest of the maps in FH, if not scrap it.

pretty much the only way u can fly over and aa gun without getting spotted is flying 2000 ft in the air
