I don't know if it was mentioned yet or not, but i was thinking about when you fire your main tank gun you would have to press the reload button to reload the gun.I think it would add a tad more realisem to tank battles. If this was possible, then could it be possible to add "dud" shells?I mean that when you would fire the gun, some times the shell wouldn't go off. Then you would have to press the reload button and there would be a chance that the dud shell would go off inside the tank and killing the tank or the crew.
i kinda like the reloading, but kinda defeats the purpose of the tank supposably having more ppl in there then you. i mean dont you think theres already nuff to do when driving and killing enemys?
Eh...no. How about we worry about things like accurate penetration and armor values first?
SnaPiusThen you would have to press the reload button and there would be a chance that the dud shell would go off inside the tank and killing the tank or the crew.
why WHY would you suggest this
Yeah I think McGibs hit it on the nose on this one...
hmm, i wonder why? First you have to under stand that FH is a mod that is trying to achieve realism. Then you must understand what realism is, as websters dictionary defines it: -An inclination toward literal truth and pragmatism. -The representation in art or literature of objects, actions, or social conditions as they actually are, without idealization or presentation in abstract form.
Good class, now that we know this, let me explain why he suggested this. Often in the battlefield ammunation will not perform as it is intended to. This is called misfiring, say it with me now MIS-fire! Good, good. Now this may mean that the ammo did not explode, that it did not fire, or, in the case of high explosives, the round detonated prematurly.
Wonderful! Now we know the two key factors in his suggestion. Seeing as how there are often duds in real battles, and FH is a REALISM mod, duds and such should be in the mod.
F--- to Mcgibs, reinhold, and kurupt. B to Murdoc.
USMA2010-The representation in art or literature of objects, actions, or social conditions as they actually are, without idealization or presentation in abstract form.
If you had bothered to read what you quoted, you would have realized that it disproves your entire argument.
without presentation in abstract form
Simulating WWII battles on a personal computer is an abstract form, and automatically tosses out the window any sense of 'realism'. If this was a realism mod, when you got shot, you would pick up the loaded pistol next to your desk and discharge it into your skull.
Simply because it would make the game 'more realistic' does warrant automatic inclusion. The inherent limitations of computer hardware, network capabilities, and game balance must be taken into consideration.
but since FH strives to gain realism in an abstract art, then realistic actions should occur.
and about ur getting shot and subsquent suicide, GET HELP NOW!!!
