Here's an idea. I seem to recall reading that certain models of tank scopes allowed for various grades of magnification. Would make sense in any case, given that you have any optics at all, no? I also remember seeing somewhere that most German sights were at permanent 10% magnification.

I've been searching for info on this; there doesn't seem to be anything useful online, and as I'm in the middle of moving house, I'm not really up for buying books right now. Anyone?

I don't know whether it'd be possible (not with secondary fire as with scouts, due to coax MG, but maybe with the up/down ramp keys) or even desirable, but thought I'd throw the idea into the round.

Pretty certain you can't do this in BF1942 without issues cropping up. No idea about BF2 though.

This site gives descriptions of the sights they used and their specs. http://www.lonesentry.com/manuals/tme30/ch8sec3.html Hope this helps.

Don't think tank sight magnification is needed. DCR has it and its pretty annoying.

2x magnification might be nice, but definatly nothing more than that.
