SUBJECT CHANGE! I know that its been brought up time and time again, but i think tanks should squeak squeak roar of the engine etc... when starting up. i mean no tank is quiet especially back then. then when on the move you should hear the roar of the engine moving. and Clacks loudly over it, and squeak of the treads moving, with squeaks when the tank stops as it comes of a grinding halt. also i think tanks when blown up should be on fire alll over it then stip and only fire in the fron or where ever it got hit and keep advancing as in Band of brother 4 where the sherman keeps going. but it would have to be very slowly. plus i think tanks should not accelerate so fast. and slower turret with keys to move them. And make the tank climb better. CoD has so good engine sounds for its t-34/85 Also i think that when you steal a tank it would be better to have them try and steal it... as in a bar would appear like in CoD when stealing a tank that shows your progress in starting the tank rather than just fast food(refering to tanks) :feedback:
I doubt it. Personally, movement with one of the arrow key sets would be cooler, but that is just my opinion.
In order to do that they'd need to seperate turret and driver positions, which is a terrible idea. Tanks work fine as is. Slower turret speeds all around would be nice, though.

I hate how you turn the turret in FH, though. It's no problem in vanilla, as the turret turning is rapid, but in FH it is rather slow (realistically). However, this means the mouse is sluggish and I have to roll the mouse across the mousepad several times to get the turret where I want it.
In Call of Duty, however, you can move your cursor ahead of your turret and the turret will follow the cursor slowly. This does not subtract from the realism, and it improves gameplay.
Well I played a mod once a while ago (Merciless Creation) and i have to say it had some very good sounds! But there latest version has removed those...
I don't think the turret following view thing as done in RO, OPF, and COD is possible with the FH engine. Don't make Turrets slower, tanks are already weak enough!

Are you sure? Couldn't the movement keys be assigned to... say A, D, Z, C?
Pretty sure they could. Back in my heathen XWWII days, some guys discussed doing that for their mod.
However, back to sounds!
I want those things to rumble and really sound fearsome. When you fire a cannon, you should hear a terrible thunderous noise, not a little "whack". The treads should sweak as the move, and the turret should actually sound like it is moving.

i played FH on a proper sound system this weekend and it was absolutely amazing! i didn't realize how much i missed out on with an ordinary system. things sounded far more scary, tanks and planes were heard from great distances. guns sounded really loud, much more so than by simply turning up the volume on ordinary PC-speakers. it got to a point where i had to turn down volume, in fear of being raided by armed police! :P of course, that doesn't stop it from being better though.
