Tankers, the most blind dudes in the game... let's make it easier for them. I saw a post about looking around in the cock pit, and why not apply that to tanks in a way. :) The tank commander "you" can open a hatch or something (at least think he does) and look out, around with binocolor "spelling dunno" or something. Ofc he would be in danger of getting shot then :0wned:. Think of it as in M36. But he can look around 360 degrees.:deal:
Another smiley lover.. Anyway about tankers vieuw. In battlefield 2 you got this MAC AA vehicle. You can switch to secundair position and fire you rifle etc. Some things i realy would love to see: 1. Tanks and other vehicles witch are empty are NOT! visible on the minimap. (not sure if this is posible)
2. All tanks need to have a comander position (stug in 0.7 already got one.) But in fh you would be switching to second position (So you are still in the the tank) You could use binoculairs to spot the enemy. This also could fix the problem when its not posible to make the empty vehicles invisible. and not geting shot by enemy snipers etc. (although i dont want to see if you are in the vehicle it can repair yourself while staying in your tank.
3. the posiblety just like in FH (0.7) to take infantrie with you on the back of your tank.
4. I realy like the Bergpanzer id. 1 think fh realy needs to take sireus.

It sounds really cool and it is, in organized clan/tournament game play, but for all extensive purposes a tank commmander position just gets in the way on pub server. What happens is you end up with either a serious gunner with a commander who does nothing but drive in circles, or a serious commander who's gunner just spins the turret in circles. The other problem is that by adding in the extra slots neccessary to make a tank capable of actually doing anything, you remove players from elsewhere on the battlefield, and until servers can support 100+ players at a time, this will create problems.
It would be nice to be able to sit in the upper turret area with the hatch closed looking through the shutters. Then have the ability to click and bring the tank scope up.

XWW2 has already done this in BF1942, so I can't see why its not possible in BF2.:D I'd be in favour of a much improved drivers cockpit layout because the current setup is basic and its crap period!! Also I would like to see the driver be able to stick his scone through the drivers hatch. ( don't know if this is possible, but hey you don't ask you don't get.)
the commander idea was on multiple thread sohere i have an idea, what if therewas a "commander position" and you could use the "raise/lower" keys to open and close a hatch, on the various tanks. While the hatch is opening a pair of binoculars could rise out too, like an mg turret, cept a binoc turret. and when the turret is closed you could just look out the slits.
i also think a tank cockpit, "like in the planes" would be cool but im guessing they are not doing that, because it would be almost impossible to find a pic of the interior.

It's possible. It was even done in FH 1942- if you look on the mini map, Die Traktor is not a visible object. As well as some others. I think in BF2 I've also seen vehicles/objects that were not visible on the minimap.
Tanks don't need better visibility. Tanks need worse visibility. Tanks are metal boxes with some slits cut in the side and front and some holes in the top, which are usually closed.
