When FH2 comes out, will it employ the team damage penalties? For non-BF2 players those are points penalized for injuring a teamate or team vehicle. On the surface this system seems like a good idea, but it's been giving me a buttload of headaches since day one.
Often times, when I use anti-tank(or any explosives for that matter) rockets, exploding vehicles have a tendency to injure nearbye teammates. Usually some smart ass Spec Op running headlong at a tank trying to plant C4. I've even had occasions were I've hit a tank, had it burning, then it explodes injuring who ever ran up on it. For example I recently knocked out(as in set on fire) a tank in Karakand, and 15 seconds later my score drops from 5 to -15 because a bunch of people runnning by the still burning tank get injured(not killed) when it explodes as they run by.:(
I get EA was trying to stop griefers from intentionally hurting teammates but comeon? Points off for injuries as well as TKs? If friendly fire is that huge of an issue, you may as well just not implement it instead of penalizing a player because some dumby ran into your line of fire despite it being clearly obvious that your firing, or trying to clear a room that you just tossed a nade into.
I understand penalties for actual tks, but in games where explosives and bullets are flying everywhere penalties for accidently knicking a careless soldier seem like a bit much.

In BF1942/FH it's a server setting.
wow I never ran into a BF1942 one with it set:confused:. However, I don't think there's an off option for BF2 servers.
Erhm any FH server that I've played on (3 :p) always had it on from day one. Never experienced what you've had there with a wreckage, but apart from that it's excellent, it adds realism (;);)) and it's great to get rid of the lamers. Now I agree the thing you mention there isn't fair, but that's fixable; wrecks don't do damage...there...fixed :D
well basic ROE is.. dont fire under any situation at something if friendly soldiers are nearby. IRL injuring fellow soldiers like this would get you jailed. however i agree wrecks blowing up "later" shouldnt be giving neg. score.
I think team damage and vehicle damage should stay, just keep destroyed vehicles from exploding again, like in PRMM. They just go boom the first time, and thats it.. I actually think they stay where they were destroyed for the rest of the game without exploding a second time.
Just be carefull where you shoot, if you happen to kill a satchelmonkey in the process.. its not a big loss.
