Slightly off-topic.... I'm glad the A-10 is not in BF2. 'Cause if it was the flyboys would disgustingly own armor and infantry.

Yeah that's the point, the A-10 pwns all tanks; and no don't worry, it won't appear in another patch. EA is too obsessed with "balance" and there aren't any other planes that compare to the A-10.
I didn't make it!
Acually the reason the A-10 isn't in BF2 isn't so much balance as much as it is that they declared to only include Marine Corps equipment if I'm not mistaken.
I'm too lazy to read the posts, so If this has already been said, too bad.
The grandfather of the A-10 is the P-47 Thunderbolt, hence the A-10's name the A-10 "Warthog" Thunderbolt II. So technically, the grandfather of the A-10 is already in the game, so topic is resolved.
Yeah That^^^ There was an A-10 I as well, so I don't think that is right.
If Dice did add the A-10A to BF2, they could give the MEC and possibly the Chinese the Su-25TM, that would be quite well balanced IMO.
I absolutely LOVE flying that Stuka G Kanonenvogel in Prokhorovka. The 37mm cannons chew up armour and planes like a meatgrinder. I can get heaps of kills in it, and I am not even a decent pilot! My only quibble with it, is that you need to stick machine guns on it as well. Why not put in the IL2-3M? If you have played IL2, then you'll know that variant had uprated 37mm cannons for tanks busting instead of the usual 23mm. Plus it had rockets AND machine guns. Stick one of them on Prokhorovka as a better way of balancing out the Stuka G. As for the HS-129. The 75mm cannon it had made the damn thing about as manuverable as a lame sloth on valium. With the 30mm gun pobs, it was a little more flyable, but the engine it had simply didn't have the grunt. I like the idea of having it in FH, but I don't people are to try flying it because it would be a sitting duck for anyone with a machine gun or cannon. Finally, The British did have the Hurricance mkIII (?), that had a pair of 40mm cannons for tank busting too. Might be an idea to include that too.
The Hurricane Mk.IId was armed with two S Guns, the S Gun could also be fitted to the Mk.IV with the 'universal' wing. 6 Squadron, RAF was known to arm it's Mk.IV's with 2x 60lb R/P's and one 500lb bomb under one wing and 2x 60lb R/P and 1 S Gun under the other wing as well as four 20mm Hispano Cannon mounted internally.
