I remember way back when i first downloaded this mod it said it focused mainly on the Early war. Hence the name forgotten hope! This intrigued me as i have always Greatly admired the blitz tactics. My interest has been renewed as i got some new documentarys for christmas. The blitz was utterly Brilliant, very very exiting tactics and scenarios. I would absolutely LOVE to see more early war maps. Id love to see some objective based german paratrooping maps. Crete is a wonderful idea for a map. During the invasion of Holland 10 thousand paratroopers attacked rotterdam while the armor moved swiftly through the country. I think a scenario for each country taken by the blitz would be sufficient, and very exiting. You devs have done a wonderful job of portraying every theatre except this one in my opinion. I am not critizing, i know its a hell of alot of effort. to make a new theatres army instead of using skins already made. But it sure would be sweet to see more of what the war started on. The nazis attacking with their superior tactics and weapons is where i thought the phrase 'forgotten hope' came from. Either way, keep up the great work guys! The 9th Infantry will support your efforts in any way that we can.:deal:

I agree on the earlier war maps. I were sorta dissipointed when I saw that FH would make the African theatre first. I would have wanted Poland and France to be first. And maybe a few maps covering the battles in the Benelux countries, and even the 2 month long Norwegian campaign.

French, Brit and even Polish troops could act as stand-ins so you wouldnt have to make new country's armies.

But keep in mind that BF2s graphics engine much favors Desert environments. With BF42, it favored all environments equally, so it didn't matter which theater of operations you chose first. Besides, Rommel vs. Monty and Patton, what not to like?

Just going to be Rommel vs Monty or whoever, no Americans in the first release, unless the devs have changed their mind.

I don't mind FH switching over too the later part of the war, even though myself i find the earlier part of the war more intresting.

I'd also like to see more Battle's in Netherlands and Germany 1945, seems that after D-day france, most of the games come to a end.

I think fightings in belgium woold be great! becose the France, the Dutch, the belgium, and the britsh forces fought togeter against the germans until they wher forced to fall back to england. I know I know i am a real bitch in geting the dutch troops in forgotten hope.. but this time i want al alied forces! :) dutch and belgium troops hade almost the same uniform. so that wont be a problem. hehe i stil got a couple of models for dutch weapons player models sounds etc. if fh2 want to do the early war.. i can donate them.. somday... but yeah.. i like the early war (1939-1941) more than the late war maps..
