Could we possibly have deep penetration bombs such as the Grand Slam and Tallboy bombs? The Tallboy bomb was 10,00lbs and the Grand Slam bomb was 22,00lbs. Both were designed to be released very high, then spiral down vertically, gaining enormous amounts of speed, and when they hit the ground, the spiraling and speed would actually make the bombs bury themselves into the ground, where they would detonate. The resulting exxplosion would cause something close to an earthquake. These weapons were designed as bunker busters. The Grand Slam once tunnled through 60ft of mountain and exploded in a tunnel underneath, it also once penetrated 7 meters of concrete before exploding. Both the Tallboy and Grand Slam could easily tunnel through concrete and the such before exploding. Yes they do have accounts of actual successful use. The Tallboys were used numerous times, most famously in the destruction of the Tirpitz. Both the Tallboys and Grand Slam bombs were used against V2 facilites and U-boat pens, both of which were protected by thick concrete bunkers. Often, the bombs didn't even have to hit the target, the earthquake caused by it actually was used to destroy viaducts and bridges. Tallboy Specs:

Spoiler: Show
Length: 6.35 m (21 ft) Diameter: 950 mm (38 in) Weight: 5,443 kg (12,000 lb) Warhead: 2,358 kg (5,200 lb) "Torpex D1" (Torpedo explosive) Number used 854

Grand Slam Specs:

Read the suggestion sticky before making useless threads. If you come with ideas like this write it in the FH2 suggestion thread.

I know, wait, you could the following scenario;

-Allies get one Lancaster with a Tallboy -Axis get a whole bunch of tanks and guns and stuff -A big ocean separates the two -All the Allies run for the Lancaster. The 4 who get in, great. The others have to wait back home. -The Lancaster flies over the Axis concentration and drops its bomb and the map's over. Boom! But oh, what a boom. Laughs all around.

Oh right, right...okay sorry, so you have all the Germans manning the Dora gun. So that thing took, what, 400 people to operate? So we'd have 32 guys...you'd have someone fusing the shell, one guy dealing with elevation, someone doing windspeed calculations, five guys hoisting the shell, someone actually doing the cranking and moving and whatsit (for added realism, you can have the other 20 guys digging and building railroad tracks for half an hour).

An FH map lasts, say, 60 minutes, so maybe you'll get a shell off at about minute 45, then everyone just sits around and waits for the Tallboy to get dumped on them.

That'd rock. Maybe people could practice new dance moves and swandiving techniques while waiting.

It would be a map packed wirh action though; would the German team be able to finish all there work and fire the Dora cannon before the Allied team has a chance to destoy with the grand slam bomb? found out in this action packed map! coming soon to you in FH2!

Ive read the sticky before and i know they say no weapons of extreme overkill. I'm just saying that this bomb was used in extremely great numbers, more than any other wepaons of extreme overkill. The 1000kg bomb is sort of a overkill wepaon, somaybe a tallboy could have 5 times more power than a 1000kg bomb, since the tallboy was 5000kg. Oh and Chanquad, this is the FH2 Suggestion Forum.

Ooh! We could also have a headquarters map, where Axis and Allied teams are both acting as general staff, shuffling papers, moving units back and forth on a map, and making coffee! Who can make the most coffee before the bolshevik hordes inevitably conquer Western Europe?

We don't hate, but we are sarky bastards.

Seriously, I dunno, the idea of a bomb that just makes everything inside a very large radius disappear in a flash and cloud of rapidly expanding superheated particles seeems a bit...gah.

Same with something like strategic bombing--the silliness you get in Bombing the Reich or Battle of Britain is such an incredibly arcade-y (if fun) version of "real" WWII bomber missions that something with an even more destructive weapon than the 1-ton nukastuka, well, you get the idea.
