Looking around the forum, it's pretty obvious no one thinks the Japanese and most of the Pacific maps are just plain not fun. Ships lag, leaving larger naval battles almost unthinkable, the Japanese have virtually no fortifications, as well as the most inaccurate terrain and vegetation in BF1942. I know the Dev Team already said they wouldn't be moving to BF:V, but it can't hurt to put forth a suggestion. The suggestion is this: Scrap the Pacific Theatre for FH BF1942, and concentrate on the European Theatre in BF1942. Move only the Pacific Theatre to BF:V. Since BF:V was made for the jungles of Southeast Asia and the South Pacific, corrects many of the lag problems associated with BF1942, and more easily allows the underground aspect to be implemented, it wouldn't be a bad idea to move only the Pacific theatre.

Yeah, this isn't all that serious. I think it's a good, but unlikely to happen idea. I just needed some way to entertain myself.

I don't think the FH devs would want to have a mod half in one game, half in another game (and not many people like BFV anyways). Not a bad idea, but not feasible.

i think it would be a good idea if the FH mod were moving to Vietnam, to transition over and give the bf1942 players time to move over. But since the mod isnt moving over, i dont see the point.

I just was thinking to myself that the Pacific maps just aren't fun to play, and I don't believe any amount of katanas, bayonets, or anything possible with the BF1942 engine is going to fix them. A katana looks cool, sure, but it, and a bayonet are only useful in an area with low visibility or confined spaces. Most of the Pacific Island maps are just big open islands, which leaves any close range weapons almost completely useless.

Midway, Wake and Saipan are fun. I think its just a matter of opinion, and I hope the devs wont cut out a very large part of their mod.

No, FH Mod was a huge download. Don't waste my time by cutting brilliant bits out.

EoD did a great job in making a jungle atmosphere and well layed out maps. If there was about as much detail put into saipan, makin, iwo jima as there is in something like fall weiss or gold beach then it would simply be awesome. Basically theres too much bare land in all japanese maps which takes away from the fight and atmosphere. More fortified japanese positions would be great too.

Loff Saipan are fun.

how can you think that? whats especially fun about saipan, as it is right now? the fact that no tickets drain, or that the airfield doesnt give ammo, or that you cant use enemy torpedo boats even though you can use their tanks, the fact that always ALWAYS some idiot thinks shooting the flak from the prince will help his team and not lag them to 1 fps... what?
