The wrnch has to stay ingame. Its one of the rare opotunities that alows team-play, if your repairing your mates tank while its in combat. And I don´t see the repair-issue as a major imbalance. You guys said yourself that you have to take the tank out of the combat-zone to repair it, which takes a lot more time than in vanilla BF. Also most tanks in FH don´t take very many hits (besides the IS-2, KT and Tiger) so repairing is often not worth the effort. Repairing is already a whole lot less effective than it was in vanilla BF and imho, don´t need to be messed with. Repairplattforms are generally a bad idea because they incourage camping... The only change I´d promote is that the Engineer is splitted into a "Drivers Class" and a "Pioneer Class". Pioneer: -Knife (with disarm function) -Shotgun -Satchel charges -Mines Driver (the Germans get those cool black uniforms): -Knife -Pistol -SMG (weaker SMGs than the standard, like MP 38 or Greasegun) -Binoculars -Wrench

Is there any way to rip of Battlefield Vietnam's class system and apply it to BF1942 for FH? It would be great if it was possible, since BFV's classes have two subcategories. You could have classes set up like: Assault: - Rifleman - SMGer Engineer - Pioneer - Driver Support - Officer - Machinegunner Anti-Tank - AT Weapon and extra ammo (such as the Bazooka) - AT Weapon and Rifle (such as Panzerfaust and K98) Something like that would be good...

Maybe there should be two types of engy (not pioner/driver), but combat engineer, and Uncombat engineer (umm...i dont know a word for them). The combat engineer has carbine, only repairs tanks 10 percent, has mine detector, and satchel charges. The "uncombat" engineer has a service pistol, and can create structures like bunkers/sandbags/repair pads. The uncombat engy would only be available on maps with a main base (im saying there wouldnt be any "uncombat" enys on a map like omaha). To promote teamwork, the uncombat engineer would (if its possible to code) get +1 for each structure built, but would always be blamed for a tk if theres a collision(<--like i said if possible), so that Pubbies wouldnt build a structure on a runway. Anyways, just though it would be cool...

yes because we all know every single nation used bergepanzers to repair their tanks. i dont think the problem is with wrenches, its that the engineer has too much damn stuff already. he's anti tank, anti infantry (long range), close combat equipped (pistol), and packs alot of explosives for both #1 and #2

I hate the wrech remove it, yesterday some spawnkiller with Tiger just kills everybody and falls back because some bazookas hit it and repairs it in 10 seconds...

Non-combat could be called a civil engineer or construction engineer.
