I play almost daily on WOLF where the ticketrate is set to 150% and playtime 1 hour. A few maps will take between 40-60 minutes, but most maps will end after 10-15 minutes. on Tarawa for example, it doesnt matter if allies cap half the flags within the first 5 minutes, the game still ends in less than 20 min. On the other hand Breakthrough will always last a full hour. I suggest that you (devs, mappers) decide on a basic playtime for maps, for example 100% ticketrate = 30 min average playtime if no flags are capped (status quo on map). As i understand it the next (and final) full release will be 0.70, so please put that on the list, I think too many maps never get the playtime they should, and since others never seem to end, the answer isn't just to increase the ticketrate on the server.

I agree. On maps like Arnhem, i'd love to see more tickets and for the game to last more then 1 hour... and i hate when the 1 hour limit kills the game But when some ... err..... i will say it: crap like Desert Rose, where tickets range in 800s (with 150%) and either team barelly gets ticket bleed for a few mins... i really wish there was a timelimit of 15 minutes. Maps should be more consistant with thier ticket bleeds. Also, IMO, unless it's a close combat infantry map, there should always be a bleed on one side. This will prevent these stale mates at 800 tickets each with neither sides bleeding

So..no one else thinks that some maps need more or less tickets. BTW Hydra, How do you get Arnhem to last an hour, I started writing down playing times on Arnhem on WOLF a couple of months ago, don't have the data anymore, but I remember 3 games in a row that ended in less than 15 minutes. Allies just have to hold the bridge for about 10 minutes and the game is lost for axis. Roughly I think about 10-15 maps could use more tickets and a couple could do with less. I have played on a server with a ticketrate of 400%, the only one i know of that has it set so high, and maps like Gold Beach and Bulge are so much better with more tickets, but then maps like Charlie are ruined, since allies will end up with 4000 tickets. It would be fairly easy to improve, you could ask admins on the most popular servers to write down the playingtime for a week or so, and compare the result. Since the most populated servers have between 40-64 slots, a server like WOLF would be perfect.

1000-1500 tickets for the average map is my favoured ticket count. More if it's a map I like.

Some maps end early regardless of their tickets, since one side dominates the other. But, just like Axis/Ally win ratios, FH should take statistics on the standard length of games. They all don't have to be exactly the same length (some maps should be shorter than others). But should be reasonable depending on what map it is.
