I like the fact that the devs have altered Tobruk. I do. Its a nice map now, except that its even more ridiculously impossible for axis to win now that all the side paths are blocked by out of bounds areas!

Here's the beef:

The Matilda II is the sole problem with this map. Axis have no vehicle that can quickly engage it. The 88 Skdfz7 vehicle dosent turn and has screwed up physics, usually finding its self tipped over.

Axis gets a smattering of shortbarreled tanks that are adequate for anti-infantry work but are simply not sufficient for taking out the Matilda II. Since the devs have bottlenecked the entire fight, the Axis has NO CHOICE but to drive against the Matilda II. The 2pdrs are a little overpowered I've noticed, with one hit nearly destroying a Panzer IV to the front armor from any range.

The Crusaders and Mk.6 tanks are no problem because Axis can kill those. The Matilda IS a problem.

After not even taking a flag for about 15 minutes of play last night, I noticed on my minimap that there were planes spawning by the axis base. Lo and behold, I found a Stuka! I grabbed the Pilot kit and jumped in. I headed straight to the middle flag where the Matilda II camps (protected by the sandbags and nearly unkillable) and bombed it good. It died, but there was ANOTHER ONE. Also, the Allies get a damn Hurricaine which completely nullifies the Stuka. The Maachi plane is pretty innefective at taking the Hurricaine out.

So here's what I ideally want done:

Stuka spawns at start - no Hurricaine should be in this map. The allies have tons of AA guns and Mk.6 tanks to deal with planes.

Remove the out of bounds areas - Axis NEED to be able to get behind the Matilda or above the Matilda in order to kill it with the crap they have. At least remove some sandbags so the axis tanks can get through the lines without having to face the Matilda II head on.

Give axis Satchels and AT rifles - also needed to kill the Matilda.

Decrease spawn time for axis tanks - most of the game was spent sitting in the spawn waiting for a vehicle so we could drive out of the base and get killed by the longbarreled guns on Allies.

Remove the Gebalte Ladung and No73 Thermos charges - people just bunnyhop and use them as anti infantry weapons. They dont do shit against tanks so you might as well remove them, or give them some penalty so they cant be used by bunnyhopping nubs as instakill rockets.

Axis needs a sniper rifle - i cant find one, but I know Allies have them.

Tommyguns for all of allies? WTF? - as if the map wasn't unfair enough, you give every ally a spawnable class with the best SMG in the game? This is ridiculous. Give them Thompsons without the 50 round drum clip and make a few pickup kits with the 50 round ones. Also increase recoil from firing the Tommy series. MP40 does NOT have more recoil then a Thompson any day any time, but it does in FH right now.

Adjust 2pdr damage - it seems too high. Front armor of P4 at long range should not be harmed by this gun, but 1 hit kills it almost instantly.

Yes, the allies have 2 Hurricanes.....they dont have bombs on them though!!! Havent played as the Axis forces yet and I'm just about to start the game up as I'm interested to see if the Macchi is in game. Yes, the two Axis planes are definately ingame and one of them is indeed the Macchi Folgore!!!!

Sorry to say this chaps but in Real life tobruk was an axis slaughter fight, just look at how long the allies held out at Tobruk, Tobruk was a major headache for Rommel its what basicaly stopped him from getting to Suez, as for the matilda sorry chaps thats just how it was the only german answer was either stuka or 88, it wasnt called queen of the desert for nothing. Maybe you should get an extra stuka or deployable 88?

Good idea, just make sure the Axis don't get a main line all the way to the back flag like before. Or at least have some static defenses covering that entrance. Having the back door completely undefended is just stupid. Axis could use some fixed arty too IMO. (Do they still have the Wespe?)

Well the 2pounder could penetrate 37 mm at 914 m, and 47 at 457 m. And the panzer4d maximum armor is 30 mm (with the exception of the turret mantlet wich is 35). As you can see the 2pounder should be able to take it out with ease. :naughty: Here's a link with info of the panzer4d. http://www.wwiitechpubs.info/garage/afv-deutschland/afv-de-mt-pzkpfw-iv/afv-de-mt-pzkpfw-iv-br.html QF 2 pounder information. http://www.wwiitechpubs.info/barrack/inf-uk/at-uk-2pr-qf/at-uk-2pr-qf-br.html http://gva.freeweb.hu/weapons/british_guns2.html
