:agreed When we get to the towable arty piece stage in FH that deploys relatively easily, that in itself will be a great accomplishment. Lützow is right on.

They cannot put in towable pieces, due to the lag it causes, especially when the truck is on other side of map.

Picture this! Your A/T gun is too exposed to be of any use except for watching teammates die. So, you and 2-3 teammates have the opportunity to relocate it to a better position. Why does it have to be four? You are assuming that 4 would be needed, and they would have to be deployed at start of map(whatever time). Maybe they are already deployed, but you have the opportunity to put it into an ambush zone, defensive strong point, away from enemy fire etc etc. If it is already deployed at the start of the map, then no problems there. But then it can be relocated. Like I said and devs have stated "The towable pieces cannot be included because of the lag they induce from the truck/piece relationship". At least this is a compromise that will allow pieces to be moved. How about a bit less negativity on new ideas. Maybe if we nut out the ideas that are in this forum, we might get the little easter eggs we want eh? It's almost like as soon as someone suggests something it's all no no no, it can't be done or its too hard, or thats friggin ridiculous. Think before you shoot down any ideas that come up in this forum. Maybe, just maybe it might be worth pondering.

ps, this is not a flame, just trying to explain so people don't judge the idea before giving it a little more thought. We need ideas not derision and outright discounting of any idea. Unless it's tottaly stupid.

Yeah fair go, suggestions do seem to get flamed pretty quick these days. Maybe this is why there had been a lack of them in the last few weeks opposed to what there used to be said

The idea is not new, they made them towable for DC and FH. I just making a point that maybe we can move them manually. Tell the devs of FH etc that towable/deployable pieces that they coded that was a bad idea. It's not a new idea, just looking at it in a diferent way.

That would just be stupid, nobody will ever want to move the artillery if it needs 1/4(6 players) of the team to move just one piece.

I definetly want to see movable artillery and flak. Maybe it would be possible to change the pieces into vehicles, but with the vehicle part unvisible. The flak could have two positions, the current one were you are fireing it and another one where you can move it (though slowly).

If all fails, why not just only have mobile pieces? Mobile Paks, mobile Flaks.

Well i'm trying to stay away from discussing positions on an artillery piece. However, you only need 2 people at each leg base to drag the item at points 1 & 2. 6 Positions is a little bit too much. No one would hang around to help. K/D ratio is most important(only one person would get the kill, maybe the rest would be kill assists). It would only take 1 to man the item. But it's kinda silly making it a one man operation to move it(unless you make it interminably slow to move). So two would be most probably best. Won't be too hard to find one other player to help. If it is already deployed, then if there is no one else around to help, then use it where it stands.

I would love to be able to set it up for an ambush, that would be cool. But when you think about it, it is all just wishfull thinking. Might not even get a consideration by the devs. Worth a try though. At least in this functionality we could have pieces that can be moved like they intended for BF42 mods.
