Actually mate, you gave me a brilliant idea. If you did manage to get a 6 man sqaud on a movable item, maybe having that many will let you do sprint/running. 2 people to move it, and need extra 4 to be able to run with it, or at least get a bit more speed. Worth a though.

Can we leave words like that out. Sorry to react to your post mate. But we really should work together to brainstorm the ideas we have seen. If we do lotsa thinking, it'll take a load of the devs back. We are all fans, so lets work together fans. Make it a fun, enjoyable and playable mod.

What about like the mg kits? You see it being towed, you click to release it, it dismounts off the vehicle and onto the ground, and you get on, but when you get off it disappears, and your vehicle gets resupplied when it's near it? Rather complex..if anything just make it able to move AT guns ala bf1918 :| Two positions, the first which is the "driver" which shows your soldier pushing the AT gun and the second, which while in use would lock the first position so no one could move you, which is the default firing mode.
I'm not sure if its possible to code that when more positions are filled, it would move faster but maybe have something like this... 3 Postions: 1. (middle) firing/gunner 2. (left) turns gun right 3. (right) turns gun left Therefore, you would only need one other person to move the arty forward by filling both postions 2 and 3. When by yourself, you can still turn the gun left and right like you do now and jump back in position 1 when your done to fire. It would still have to be much slower than a vehicle for historical reasons and to stop it beings used as an SP gun cheat Also, try not to doublepost Monkey, theres a 'Edit' button you can use to change your previous msg's
EDIT: Just remembered too, the devs have made some of the arty pieces already so I think this will have to wait for a another few releases before anything like this might be put in
Good thought Neibler. Having them deployable with vehicles made the game too laggy. So infantry movable only might give us the deployability we would love to see. Either have it unmovable when firing mode or have an engineer that breaks it down and re-erects it.
Thats a good way of making it workable Bourkey. Just wonder what the devs think. Perhaps they have already thought of this?
I'm pretty sure most of the FH2 team is very interested in the "Bf1918" way of doing pushable artillery.
The only change I'd suggest is that you have to "deploy" in order to fire, and have to "undeploy" to move.
Deployable artillery would be great for servers where people want to work together, but on servers where everybody is just hunting for the score and not for the team (and that's the most of them), it will be underused. So I think if there would be things like towable arty and stuff that requires teamwork, well then let's make an FH expansion with all the cool stuff in it and donate for a special server to run the mod. But it won't have any success on most of the public game servers.

I agree, 1918 works is superbly. Needs to be a littler faster though...remember, in FH, when your on a Pak, your basically taking the holding place of the whole crew. Well, you can tow those things pretty quickly. Actually, that might make it a little more realistic...instead of pushing the gun, you have to tow it, by hand, to position, and turn it around. Make the sight view 360 degrees like in the Stug commander position.
