Type 97 chi-ha need to redone because the chi-ha we have now is a another version of chi-ha. The old chi-ha should look like this It use a 57mm gun (short), weight: 15.3 tons, speed: 38km/h The chi-ha we have now use 47mm gun (long), weight 15.75 tons Another tank i think it is a MUST for japanese because chi-ha and ha-go are too weak when facing Sherman. Type 1 tank of japan. It almost look same as ch-ha but a bit bigger, its armor increase to 50mm weight: 17.2 tons speed: 44km/h Before the war ended, Japanese have produce 587 type 1 tank Another suggestion: can we change those Sherman into M3 stuart in ADAK ISLAND? Because it is not fair when japanese only have ha-go

The Chi-Ha had the 57mm gun, the Shinhoto Chi-ha had the 47mm gun. If you look at the shape of the turret of the Chi-Ha in game it looks like a Shinhoto version to me. The regular Chi-Ha version has a more rounded turret with no turret bustle in the back.

The 57mm low velocity gun was dropped in favor of the fairly high velocity 47mm which could penetrate a Shermans frontal armor at 500m. Unfortunately a Sherman could kill all versions of the Chi-ha at over 1,000m

Is it really needed? Maybe for early war maps, but its gun would only really be useful against infantry and light vehicles, and the Ha-Go is already in. Plus you still wouldn't get that coaxial MG that all Japanese tanks seem to be deprived of... On the plus side, it would add more variety and be easy to model seeing as it's on the same chassis.

But the ha-go is really impossible to fight with Sherman. like the map: ADAK ISLAND. i think chi-ha can add in early war map and chi-he can add at late war map And if FH are going have japan vs USSR map, the chi ha is need

If the point is that the Chi-Ha should be remodelled to be correct (if the current model really portrays the Shinhoto version), then I agree. But if this is another "the Japs are too weak their tanks need to be stronger" thread then drop it. It's not like we're making the Shermans equal to M1 Abrams just because the Germans have a King Tiger. Blame the Japs for not building better tanks during the war. roll%20eyes%20%28sarcastic%29.gif

I see it like that: if we Germans lost the war with tanks like the Panther and King Tiger, then there should be no way the Japs could have won either in the first place. hehe

Personally I love using the Jap AT grenages, but they don't scratch a Sherman. If they were used against Stuarts, maybe a bit more effective, but I'd like to see some better Jap AT weapons around, even if only in kits. I hear they had a pretty good AT rifle actually. Are Stuarts going to be put in the place of Shermans in the pacific maps? Anybody know?

plus ya know that whole bit of "challenging russia" played a small factor in it, too.
