I really think an Unshielded version of the 88mm flak should be implemented. It's that the shielded version is hard for AA since you get the shield blocking your view if the enemy plane is flying low. Both shielded and un-shielded versions were used in the war. I think the unshielded ones would be much suitable to work as AA since you got nothing blocking your view. Also I am suggestion to add the Flak88Panzer. It would look a bit like the Ostwind but would have the unshielded flak88 on the turret. Some pics of the unshielded 88mm flak: Flak88.jpgflak88_01.jpg A couple of pics of the mobile version of the unshielded flak: http://cybermodeler.com/armor/flak88/flak88.shtml Pic of Flak88Panzer flak88Pz.jpg

Yes, and they also need to add the artillery arc thingie if possible (see other thread started by Redoubts) to the flak so you can at least use it as an artillery and not some kind of AT gun. I mean, the flak88 picks arty targets but yet it fires straight and it's a kind of a complication. I tried pointing my flak88 to the sky to see if it wouldn't go so far but I noticed the higher you aim the farther the shell goes.... :(

The flak 37(AA) and the early flak 36(AT) dont have shield. The flak panzer was a prototype, only a few were made.

I don't think it's such a good idea to give the 88shells an artillery-like arc. Shooting at aircraft and tanks would only get more difficult, but that was the 88's best use. The idea with removing the shiled on some guns sounds good. It's really annoying to jump between the two positions all the time :)

You're right. But i was thinking of using a flak88 as an artillery, AA and AT but well that wouldn't be good then I guess? I thought it was possible for the flak88 to shoot straight when pointed forward and shoot in an arc when pointing to the sky? Like it would go high but then fall quickly and not just reach the moon or go outside the map.

But then shooting at planes in the sky would cause the shells to arc, making it even more impossible to hit planes with them.

Just add some proper static german artillary, and let the Flak's shoot straight.

Oh? But I thought something as that a kind of smoke AA or whatever that type of AA is wouldn't be affected by the arc. Different shells would mean diferent arc and I was hoping it could be done no? Arc on AT shells and no arc on AA.
