ok this isn't a SoF2 related question, but im hoping alot of you know stuff about computers so you can help me. Whenever i go to open task manager, it automatically closes and i can't close anything from it. Or when i go to run and type msconfig, nothing comes up and i cant redo my start-up. Anyone know how i can fix this problem???:clueless: Do we have to reformat my computer AGAIN which i did last Tuesday. I done a full system scan just before and no viruses were detected, so i dont think virus. Any solutions???:uhm:
My guess is, that u must have some harmful file running, which won't let u open taskmanager. Two ways:
1) U can use online virus scan: http://housecall.antivirus.com/housecall/start_corp.asp
2) To check that out go Windows/System 32, copy fail "taskmgr.exe" to desktop, rename it to "taskmgr.com" and now u should be able to open it. Check out do u have any such pocesses running that shouldn't be(like WUPDMNGR.EXE, Optix.Pro......). When u have found it, write down the name of the file, use windows search and find the file, it should be somewhere in Windows folder or its subfolders. delete it. Once i had the same problem and that was what i did.

Heh, another one that forgets that the world doesnt end @ SOF Files? Meh.... Anyways.....is it possible that taskmanager.exe has been overwritten with blank space? Do you see it apear then it closes, or does it not come up at all?
