It seems there are tons of vehicles for each nation, of all variations (US included). Yet the US is still forced to use the Prince of Whales as its bombardment ship. The germans got a Heavy cruiser AND a battleship for a map hardly ever played, but for the popular pacific theatre maps are stuck with a lone british battleship for support, not to mention the horrid AA that it comes with. I know many ignorant people will scream: well all the US battleships were destroyed! lies. We had plenty of BBs for the pacific theatre. For refrence, you could use the excellent website, www.navsource.com

I would love to see an Iowa class battleship.

9 16inch. guns, 20 5inch guns, 80 40mm AA guns and 49 20mm AA guns, it would be awsome to see that kind of firepower.

Well, obviously we can't be that accurate but so long as the Iowa class for example kept its 9x 16"/50s, 20x 5"/38 DP, then a good game size amount of territary armamants on each side would be about 10-15 40mms and maybe 5-10 20mm, just enough to make sure that the US ships have almost unstopable AA. The Iowas however, are very big, it would probably be better to make a late-war version(s) of the Tennesee Class, Colorado Class, or maybe even a Soth Dakota Class. Maybe even add a second BB to some maps, such as The USS New York or USS Pennyslvania, which would have out-dated AA compared to latter US BBs, but still on par w/ at least the bismark. This would make shore bombardment more effective for the US team.

One, just ONE, is all that I am asking for.

that would be a great addition to FH2. And seeing as the Devs will have to basically start from scratch (for dice models a least) then there is a good chance to see some revamps; I know I am eagerly awaiting a Battleship worth defending for midway and the like...

Then you should play Rhineubung more often. A Bismark class battleship and a Admiral Hipper class heavy cruiser are in game now.

If FH2 can get ships working, which I am confident will happen but maybe not right away, then the US and Japan need to have one battleship class each and at least one cruiser class each.

I would not do a Iowa class for the same reason I would not do a Yamato class.

US should get a South Dakota(16" guns), North Carolina(16" guns), or a war upraded Pennsylvania class Battleship(14" guns).

Japan needs a Kongo(14" guns) or Nagato(16" guns) Class BB's.

I personally agree, The Iowa, aside from being to big, would be almost invicible compared to the measly PoW. The Yamamoto could be feasble, but only in an air raid map against it where it could not move IMO. The IJN Kongo, Fuso and Ise classes would be good, along with the USN Pennyslvania, Tennesee, and Colorado in their late war versions and maybe even the North Carolina or South Dakota class as well. The USN should have excellent AA, but to counter this, the USN should always be outnumbered, ex. USN team - 1 CV, 1 BB, 1 outdated BB (such as the New York Class) and 2 Destroyers. A comparable IJN team would be 2 CV, 2 BB, and 2 destroyers. this shows that the IJN has medium quality BBs, while the US would get one very good one, and 1 outdated one good only for shore bombardment. On a similar note, why note add light cruisers to the game, as well as new models for the Destroyers? New Fubukis and Fletchers, along with an IJN Mogami, and a US Brooklyn would make an excellent addition to the pacific theatre battles.
