yeah we know...but we are just having fun  btw bacon your spelling = O_O
I was gonna say that too. I could barely understand his post.
v1 rocket wasnt guided. It flew in a straight line.
and yes, these were terror weapons used to bomb britan. They have absolutly no use whatsoever on a battlefield, exept maybe as an objective.
First of all weapons don't need a tactical use to be in FH, which also encpasses strategic warfare. Bombing the reich and to some extent batto of britain are representaion of strategic warfare (bombing factories etc. Secondly the weapon can be totally or mostly strategic and still be used on FH map in a tacticall sense. Heavy bombers are on few tactical maps now and can be considered a reperesentation of the strategic compent war effect on that particualar battle. For example, the sub and and liberty ships on desert rose are also somewhat representive of the battle for resupply, even though they dont actuall get to resupply. The question should almost always be, 'how can this weapon be depicted in a reasonable fashion in FH', not it 'it doesnt fit lets exculde it;. All the other weapon systems only fit into FH because compromies were made somehwere or everywhere, and fitting in any new system must undergo the same process.

But theyre cool, and why not maybe 1 map? I would download FH just for that.
Well I would reccomend dl FH anyway, but if you just want to try a v1, there is one setup to launch form a truck on a map callled gaza that was in the old fan mappack IFRC. Also, there are WIP shots of the v-1 floating around, not sure about the v-2.
The V-1 could go ont bor stlye map with gloscter meoters, which shot down v1 during the war. I suppose the v-2 could go on such a map as welll, as a sort of super artillery.

Weapon is a stretch. This was an experiment.
The V1 rocket was completely unguided. They launched them off rail in the general direction of populated, industrial cities in Brittain and about 30% of them got there. The RAF and AA gunners learned to shoot them down so well that they had about a 3% hit rate after the first couple hundred were launched. No guidance, no accuracy, they were meant to kill civilians because Hitler was losing the war and wanted to make the other side pay.
The V2 was the same, except it was a lot more powerful and a couldn't be stopped. It was aimed at the Brittish island and just fired. Many hit cities and with their 5000kg payload, they did a lot of damage. BUt the point is..
They were never used as weapons against military targets and never could have been. They were meant exclusively for killing civilians, and they did a pretty crappy job of it as well. There is no place in FH, a game that features combat between the armies, for a Vengeance weapon rocket system, other then as a static.
Excuse me but they weren't just to kill civilians, doesn't anyone here know about Antwerp ? :) You're all right that they mostly hit civilians, but that wasn't the (only) real target, Antwerp was crucial for both the Allies and the Germans, and Hitler knew that, he always had... http://www.v2rocket.com/start/chapters/antwerp.html It's hard to ignore something like this http://www.v2rocket.com/start/chapters/ant_001.jpg But you're right it shouldn't be used in a hugely effective manner on the battlefield, if at all, it wasn't used for that purpose. It would be nice to have it on a map though in some form, but would be awsome to see fired.
