Apro-FIN-Can we get ion cannons too? Those were cool in C&C...

If you are asking if it's possible to code, then yes. ActionBF mod has done it almost a year ago! You pick a kit, set it up (kinda like an FH MG), and then you get the satelite view of the whole map, and you can move around it. And at your desire, you can lauch an attack at selected point. In ActionBF, i believe it was an atomic bomb :naughty: , but it could be changed to anything.

D.CHASE.jpg Deadly Chase, by Ronald Wong

maybe a map based on that could be made. objective map, germans launch V1's in general direction, V1 flies through out-of-bounds area. and the bomb hits the other side, unless the british fighters shoot them down. while searching for that image i came across a page saying that they brought them down by flying under the bomb, and thus disturbing airflow around the wing, bringing it out of control.

McGibs... v1 rocket wasnt guided. It flew in a straight line. and yes, these were terror weapons used to bomb britan. They have absolutly no use whatsoever on a battlefield, exept maybe as an objective.

Only place for V1's would be an objective based map where you try to destroy british factories with V1's buts thats about it.

The V2 rocket should not be joked about, this weapon was way ahead of its time and probably come too late in the war too have any impact. This was one of hitlers terror weapons that he hoped could save him the war. Once a V2 rocket was launched their was no way you could stop it ! Now in my opinion a V2 rocket could be made to work in FH Ive had this idea for a while but have held it back. Because I dont think it should be developed till later versions of FH, what I mean is 0.66 will add many new features, hopefully in 0.7 we will see the italian campaigns RTR, and maybe in 0.8 if FH could get permission off EA we could see SWOWII maps in FH. I think that would be cool anyway if FH devs could mod SWOWII they could possibly get the V2 to work heres how: Now in SWOWII you have the "Wasserfall Guided Rocket" now this is an anti-air rocket. Now imagine a similar control centre that you could go into for control of a V2 rocket. Now when you fire it it goes up in the air and the controls work exactly the same but you guide it down onto enemy ground troops. Now the V2 rocket was an inacurate firing weapon so the difficulty of succesfully guiding a V2, using the wasserfall guided rocket system would replicate this difficulty off pinpoint accuracy. Just imagine playing a SWOWII map in FH your fighting for the allies you know the germans have V2's in the area. You and your teammates are trying to overcome the germans when suddenly just as qiuck as you hear the noise of the incoming rocket theres a massive explosion and everyones killed.:D Now that would be pretty scary.

IRC the V2 only had a 1kkg warhead, so it would be similar to the Stuka in effect. Besides, this thing could hit something the size of London, but to use it in a tactical enviroment this isn't really enough, you could just as well hit friendly troops.

Now some of you might think its mad or even stupid for suggesting the V2 rocket to be used in this way. But think about it okay this weapon would not be used like firing artillery at enemy positions. Its a much more difficult weapon too aim, maybe the best use would be too target enemy bases instead. The germans would now have a way of reaching the allied base with heavy fire power from the other side of the map. Okay this would be very hit and miss, but with practice a player could guide the rocket into say the main allied base fairly regulary. And you might say the V2 could be destroyed yes over long distances, but NO !!! not in maps the size you find in FH. It is impossible too intercept a wasserfall rocket in SWOWII and should be the same for the V2 as well.

Why not simply use normal artillery?

Well you could just stick with the same old artillery, but remember im not suggesting this to be in the next full FH release. This isnt the time and maybe fh dev's will never think its the time for these weapons to be introduced. Considering you are probably going to go near the limit too what new vehicles and weapons you can keep adding too fh at some point this is just an idea. If your mod ever features secret weapons of world war II maps, at that time I think this weapon would be a good addition. Some peaple say we dont need it in fh, okay we dont really need to have many new things like flamethrowers, moving trains etc... But it would be just more fun too have these things in the mod if anythink else. Maybe just one map could be made too feature these weapons. Where the allies would have too destroy the launch sites. Its just an idea anyways Im not saying anythink else on it now thats all from me.:p

the only use i can think of is having v1s on the south coast on battle of britain. then they'd actually play a realistic role instead of being a one-shot katyusha

How about a Hiroshima map where you have to fly a bomber over the city and drop a nuke there? First allied pilot succeeding in this would get few million kills. Then there could be a ending text for example like: "Congrats [player name]! You are the second biggest massmurderer of all time!" ...

No? Didn't think so either...
