We all know it, sobody seems to care or try to solve it.
I did a brief search but found nothing but its a hot topic to be solved in any mod.
DICE fubared the game from the beginning when not making the views correctly. Your "eyes" are somewhere at your chest level in 1st person view that means that when you look over a sandbag your head will stick out far higher than it actually would. This makes you a much easier target to the enemy.
well this already has been discussed (don't know whenn though) and i thought that the devs set that they can't fix this unless they do the goo'ol SDK dance.
its really a shame.
I hope this will be fixed in BF2 and infantry movement abilities in general will be more realistic. (bunnyhopping with 50 pounds of gear while turning 360 degree, yeah right.)
Anybody knows if Vietnam hd the same wrong viewpoint?

He hasn't move, and thinks he's in hide :0wned:
Hmm, I flamed something to DICE about this about year ago ;)
They even replied. Well if BF2 is "totally" new engine, Im sure about it.
BFV fixed many glitches and bugs, what are in BF1942, but now its again another team DICE Sweden..
so true, gotta fix that, and if you look down, YOU CANT SEE YOUR OWN FEET!!!!
there's also the problem where if you switch from 3rd to first while firing, when you come back into first it runs the reaload animation even when its not needed and you haven't hit reaload.

Yeah, Finnwars!!!!!!!!! I love that mod!! If only I could play it without haveing to stay up unitl 3am or get up at 10pm-1pm on the weekends!!!1 Still, I find time for it. Odd, that I don't think I have ever seen you on it....
we can fix it, problem is, we would have to rescale every single dice static object. If we move the viewpoints up, players wont be able to shoot out of bunker slits, and wont be able to take cover behind sandbags and such (theyr too short)
hopefully dice learned where peoples eyeballs go in bf2.
just fix it.

Hehe, well for bf2 you probably have to make all the statics yourself. That is why i will use correctly sized statics in my -no please don't shoot me, i won't mmention arnhem again, i promise!- uh thingy map, where floors will be 2.7 meters high with windows and walls having the correct height etc. I still hate dice for screwing the dimensions of their statics, they could have used correctly sized stastics (and thus also camera view pints) from the beginning :( .
