I have always thought that the current voice-command system in BF2 is stupid. When you want to say something you are disrupted from the battle. I've had several cases on Karkand where I wanted to say something and an American plopped up and killed me. I couldn't retaliate cause my mouse was focused on the bloody voice-command menu. I recently scrolled through the voice-command thread and saw that a few others also thought that we should go ack to the BF42 voice-command system, as do I. Now I wonder, how many of you want this changed?

All I can say is

"AMEN BROTHER".

The BF2 shortcut-less voice command system is, for lack of a better word, ass. I assume they wanted more people to use the crappy in-game voice chat--good luck. There are very often concise things I want to say to the team without being exposed to 60 screaming 13 year olds! :-)

I like the BF2 system because I dont have to stop moving to use it. To use the F keys, you have to take your hand off WASD.

The BF2 spotting system must be retained at all costs, that thing rocks!

As far as voice commands go, I don't care. Now that I am used to the system it is no better or worse than the BF1942 system. I think its one of those things you have to get used to.

I think the command-order system is pretty good, but the voip might as well been left out, no one seems to use it and i can't blame them since most of the cases that it is being used it's used for swearing and all other god forbidden things.

I'd say leave the battlefield 2 command-order system as it is and leave the voip ( talking to each other with mic's ) to programs such as Ventrillo or Teamspeak.

Hmm... The spotting system is good indeed. Okay, that maybe should be kept. But the rest is just irritating. Besides, I have to take my fingers of the WASD just to press Q too. Then I'll have to use the mouse too.

Use your fourth finger mate to press Q. Ok that was slightly off topic ...

I personally tink the current BF2 system is pretty good although I do prefer the old BF1942 system. I don't actually know what they changed that to something more complex. In my opinion orders and spotted should stay with the BF2 system but other voices (Warnings and commands) should be in the Refractor 2 style. Although I have no idea if this would be possible.

Wow... Your way off base. Voip is one of BF2s greatest features. If you don't like what someone is saying, leave the squad!

Is there a way to keep the voice command system from BF2, since some people seem to like it, but add shortcuts to it, like in FH42?

Or is this totally impossible, because it's part of the engine and cannot be done in the mod? It sounds like both have something going for them.

Im too used to BF42 system so I hate BF2 system from the bottom of my heart. So I voted for the quite obvious choice, BF42 system.
