I think the tanks are good as they are now. But i would also like to limit the AT weapons like in call of duty. You can find them somewhere or make it random... And the Satchels should stay how they are.

the only thing i would support is removing the pfaust/rifle in return for the rifleman/pfaust combo. of course the chance of the rifleman getting the pfaust would be random, 1/4? 1/3?

Tanks are fine as they are now, but a commanders cupola postion I wouldnt mind.

However, the 3rd person infantry camera needs to be taken out. It causes an annoying bug where you cant see any models or hear any noises, and you have to keep messing around with the camera just to get it back to normal again. This needs to be fixed, please take it out of Forgotten Hope or if it can be fixed, then please do so.

damn, whats with ppl wanting to nerf tanks lately? every 2nd thread in the surgestions area is about making the tanks have an even greater disadvantage. the F-views are fine, the satchles are fine (however very annoying), the furst is fine.

The 3rd person perspective should be removed completely. If you are in a tank you have to be aware of what is around you. At the moment most decent players know when they are about to be attack by infantry because they cycle through the external views in order to check for sneak attacks. I do agree though that this would require each tank to have a commander view point. Just to make it fair I would also like to see the 3rd person views removed from infantry as well.

I think the default view should be from the commander's point-of-view through the commander's periscope on top of the turret with fairly wide visibility without any aiming help. Right now the point-of view is lower than the gunner's view, which doesn't make sense.

The drivers view is lower then the gunners so it makes a little sense where it is now.

3rd person views are a bit of a question for me; on one hand they are very unrealistic and somewhat cheap (i.e. you can look down on yourself allowing you to see things you shouldn’t be able to), but on the other hand in computer games you have none of your real life peripheral vision (a problem that can only be solved by 3D goggles). So it is unrealistic and realistic at the same time and is an issue that can’t really be resolved. As far as tanks go though I’d say to remove them as peripheral vision would only show you what is inside the tank. Position switching is easy enough, that if you want a clear view of the area around you, just switch to the mg or command cupola (which hopefully all tanks that had them will get).

I would just like the commander view for the engine-off ambush effect :D Tanks should have a limited all around view. Currently it's too much, removing all outside views would make it too little. Let's not go from one extreme to the other, instead let's work out a solution that is more toward the middle. Say exterior views that are coded to originate from small view slits on the tanks?
