Major HartmannEver tried to aim something while lying on your face and going sideways? You need your arms that for, both for aiming and moving.

I only wish this kind of common sense would be used for the rest of the weapon modeling as well. Crosshairs not spreading for mouse movement while crouching is a good start, but why doesn't the same apply to standing, and why does it take so damn long to aim a bazooka, for example. For all the rest, well, see above. :)

To fix the MG exploitation, you need only to remove the knife. Its not necessary enough to absolutely need it.

The bazooka can be exploited in the same way, but IMO its not such a problem. The dolphin-diving is, though.

As I said earlier, the game is same to everyone, I'm not realistic fanatic and why should I? To be more efficient player, learn to use this "exploit" and be better than others.

But FH is supposed to be realistic. And always running around with a pistol is not too much fun either.

Exactly, FH is geared towards realism, and thats why people like the play the mod. They dont appreciate lamers like you exploiting bugs in the system for unfair advantages. Its against the spirit of the mod, and the community who plays it. If you cant understand that, please go find another game/mod. A game like FH is rare, it doesnt need smacktards to ruin in.

I see no problem with as the way things are now in FH. Definitely people shouldn't see DC as the ultimate way the things should be :S Sure some people might call pistol swapping on AT class as an exploit, but try yourself how many misses you can score from point blank range when you got the crosshair extended to the max after sneaking to tanks arse. Now THAT is way more annoying than "pistol exploit".

How many still see those old CounterStrike smacktards running in FH with knife, hoping to run just a tad faster than others ;)

Why shouldn't you use it when it gives a clear advantage? It is by no means unfair, the system is the same for everyone. It's not the players' fault that the weapons are modeled the way they are. But for the sake of realism and gameplay the system should be changed. The weapons should behave in a sensible manner, see first post for details. Unfortunaly, when it comes to infantry weapons accuracy behaviour, DC is far more realistic (!) than FH.

Excel, no its not. DC is way off.

BTW: If you see the sniper running with a knife, it makes better sense. He can stab a guy faster than he can shoot.

If you've read my previous posts, you would see that I dont see any problem with the AT/pistol swap. I do have a problem with the MG using this exploit. My solution did not involve an SDK or new engine, but simply the removal of the knife (from the Spawnable HMG kit). The bug is fixed, everyone has the same disadvantage.

The question here should be "Can we fix it?", because I think its an engine issue. Try the "bug" with any other mod and its all the same.

Making a delay between switching weapons would at least put a dent in it.
