In winter weather conditions would it be possible for the BF2 Engine to have snowfall stay on top of the tanks? And also, if you stay still inside the tank for a while the snow piles up and it acts as a tempory camoflage but the turret slows down for obvious reasons of the cold. The same would go for the desert conditions:cya: ,also for the European theatre would it be possibe for leaves to fall onto tanks and cars to act as camoflage too? Finally, is it possbile to have rain drops fall on car windshields while driving? and to have lightening storms so that when the lightening strikes it lights up the battlefield? :deal: that will be all!

forgot to add that could you also slow down the vehicle and mabey bog them in??

Imaging flying in the snow! I'd love to see this features notablly wind, storms, rain and snow. All played Huge roles in the outcomes of battles and if possible it should be random., somedays snow, somedays clear. But I can't see it Happening due to Lag and coding issues

Dude, you got me all excited with the lightning talk. That would be insane. Fairly dark map and when the lightning strikes you see 3 Tigers on the ridgeline and a mass of foot soldiers coming directly at your position, but just for a split second.

Weather conditions is cool, but will make your hardware work 2times more. And BF2 is a heavy game, with weather you will play a screenshot with sounds. You just should add simple effects that donĀ“t make your video card as slave. Some desert maps should have sandstorms,or simply that fog.Someone played Medal of Honor Breakthrogh in Kasserine Pass? And snow is very heavy.Someone played the map Artic on Desert Combat Extended? Is very heavy!!!!!!!!!! What should have on the maps is real clouds. When you getting high you should see some...

I like your Clouds idea. Though I know how much fancy stuff will cause your graphics engine (what ever that may be) to spontaneously combust, or in most cases work like a slave:donitz:

In winter weather conditions

Well, it'll be possible for the FH team to put weather effects like snow ingame and I doubt it would take up FPS (it didn't slow down in BF1942...).

snowfall stay on top of the tanks?

The only way for snow to be on tanks is to have the snow already "painted" onto the tank with the texture. To have it accumulate ingame would be askin too much from the game engine, methinks.

And also, if you stay still inside the tank for a while the snow piles up and it acts as a tempory camoflage but the turret slows down for obvious reasons of the cold.

Like I said, snow piling up would probably impossible; however, the snow texture would be enough for camoflauge.

also for the European theatre would it be possibe for leaves to fall onto tanks and cars to act as camoflage too?

Same as above, I don't think the engine can handle this. There would have to be a LOT of leaves in order to make it seem realistic, and a LOT of leaves means a LOT less FPS.

Finally, is it possbile to have rain drops fall on car windshields while driving?

It's possible to have rain, but I don't know if the dev team can make raindrops splash off objects, etc. Still, I'd be happy enough with just rain for atmospheric effect.

and to have lightening storms so that when the lightening strikes it lights up the battlefield?beer.gifdeal.gif

Interesting idea. Imagine playing on a map that is as dark as Operation Blacknight, and during the battle there is a stormy storm. You could hear the rain and thunder, and once in a while a flash lights the sky....... I'm sure there were WWII fighting during lightning storms, right? I think it would be possible to code in lightning, but we'll see......

forgot to add that could you also slow down the vehicle and mabey bog them in??

Nah, even if coding it was possible, what's the fun in it?

just had an idea... Is it possible to make the fog to change it's... density?

example: Round starts, fog distance is 300 meters. 5 minutes later, fog distance is 400 meters. 10 minutes later, fog distance is the same and start's to go lower again.

to make the fog like "it's alive" during the round?
