A few note-worthies, some I noted from PR-SP..Others not Distant sound I can’t compare close range sound with PR, FH2 has sweet sound-effect, PR’s, to me is cacophonous (Realistic sure, but just too jarring). That said, It would be nice if, like PR, there was a different distance sound, a suppressed version of itself for shooting etc going far away – Basically, like Fh1 with the improvements in sound quality – Also, I think sound effects for explosions and shell’s fired can be a whole lot louder – If there is going to be a blurr when a tank fires close by, then it should sound THAT loud – And so should aircrafts flyin overhead. Oh and any MG being used in 1st person - Especially those on tanks Labored Breathing Not the coughs from PR, hell no - But can the labored breathing from a hurt soldier be audible to others close by - Perhaps an even more labored breathing when he moves... Hand signals No way of those returning from BF42 with the mouth opening and all, huh? Suppression This is probably one of the 2 things I really loved in PR - Any gun could cause suppression as long as it was fired close enough - But the supression was alot more subtle and wore of quicker - I know the devs are on the job, but just a note - A squad of riflemen should be able to cause an enemy to be supressed - Its about the same calibre as the Bren is it not? Just make the effect real fast and only remain on successive shots, but not pile up to become too bad - Unless you have a REAL bunch of guys on your ass - Supression certianly adds something to the warfare addrenaline rush - If well done Grenade exposions PR kept the classic BF2 explosion, Fh2's is better I thnk - But the flash orange is a bit too cartoony, I think, more smoke perhaps, more effect, less light - Or quicker light, same goes for artillery on hard ground. Perhaps a violent shake and slight distortion of the screen like in Crisis would be nice Damage on the ground I don't know this for a fact, but is the black patch created by arty and tank shells realisitc? I know holes cannot be made, but can a darker brown ring with texture given the illusion of a groove be used instead. Slowe tank turret speed I noted and hated this in PR, the turrets turned like necks - Now Fh2 improves this - But isn't it still a bit too quick - I sometimes forget that the tank is not a living thing the way it gives me that queer eye just before blasting me to bits...

About the supression, two of the FH2 goddevelopers made the supression effect for PR.

many of these thing will be changed to the better in the patch, most of them are already in the beta and just need fine tuning

I agree with you on every aspect of your suggestions, well maybe not the "cartoonish explosion"; haven't noticed that. I think the sound would be the most important of those, distant sound and higher sound! the tanks don't strike enough fear in infantry when approaching.

but many of these will apparently be "fixed". great!

Try calling for arty with the binoculars without zooming in and you'll notice that we already have hand signals, although not in extensive use.

ooh, ooh.... Then about the hand signals....

I know its some work - But it really would be nice if the player/ bot using the command rose could be seen making some motion also. A military style waving for 'cease fire', repeatedly motioning foward for 'Go, go, go', shouting with mouth open and clasping helmet saying 'Incoming', etc... At least thank God the BF2 engine allows that -

Perhaps, more signals for the scout - motioning to his eyes to signal 'enemy spotted' or motioning downwards to signify 'infantry spotted' etc...

As for sounds, it would be kind of nice to replicate FH1's loud *CLANG* when you're in a tank that gets killed. As it is, one moment your driving, the next ... dead, but without any noise or anything.

Agreed, the 'silent death' just doesn't seem right, and its also rather irritating.
