Right now I have played a sidi 32 with 64 players, I was expecting the usual slaughter but british won with some tickets. Imo the key is the british must attack the back flags too in the initial rush. Usually they try to attack only the building flags, if this initail rush fails axis will pin them down, but if some guys flank and go for the back flags and they get them the fight is very even because they have two options and the axis can't focus just in one way.

It was a great round

I like Bardia infact my favorite game since I've been playing it has been on that map. Good mix of open space and CQB. Got half my kills sniping and the other half running around with a Thompson. Also found out that the S-mine doesn't only kill your teammates while playing.

My least favorite is Mersa Matruh not because It's a bad map but Because I just haven't gotten used to it yet. End up Dead because I keep getting caught with my pants down.

Sgt.NightFire;4120270What map do you dislike the most? For me its Operation Hyacinth, its too dark and its harder to distinguish friend from foe.BF2 doesnt have a ingame menu for you to dim adjust the gamma or brightness... Mostly before the map is played i see teamwork, but when this map starts, people just seem to run around because half their old fireteam has disconnected, maybe the map would be better if it was at sunrise/down...

I did not like this map either I always got owned until I turned all the lighting effects off and wouldn't you know it its just like day time now=p

I have lighting effects off because my computer and graphics card can't handle them. :(

wow! i really like the pics, especially the one where you see an overview of the town, it's just like the fh2 map! great work! now I will appreciate it even more. back to topic. The maps I dislike the most would have to Bardia, and El alamein. Although these are still great, I just never get to any real intense fighting at El Al. when playing british you grab a vehicle, drive against the hills and before you know it you get blown up by an 88.

Alam Halfa is alright if the german team is good, most tankers don't realize how easy is for a tank to take the 2 frontal flags.(provided arty support take out some 6 pdrs.) , of course, capturing the 2 british 25 pounders would make the british team's life hard. but i must admit that sometimes it's a bit boring in the British side.

Bardia is what i hate, it's like a chaos and swimming gala.

Sidi 32 player is fun? well, something like Pavlov's house!.

El Alamein is a bit boring, it seemed who with better gunnery wins. (panzer4f2, Sherman, Crusader III, Marder III all 1 hit KO each other) and panzer 3 1 hit KO a crusader too.

of course the panzer 4f2 and marder III's gun are easier to aim, while the sherman's gun is erh... or just i suck...

Sidi Is Like the Best Infantry Map in the Mod, and artillery can be devestating on it, the tanks dont over whelm like in Mersa. Mersa Mutruh of however its spelt is too dominated by tanks to be a successful infantry map El Alamein has great areas of combat, a very very nice map Kudos. SuperCharge....meh I hated the first one...and this one isnt much better, both maps are hard to navigate with tanks. The first one had this HUGE mountain and that railroad track real or not is always in the way. And in the new one the german tanks spawning in the towns and the Anti Tank guns like the PAKs are pointing towards the west towards your own base? and then when you try to move the PAKs you cant get around the trees to set the damn thing up. To Me worst map so far... The Other Map with the German Mountaineer Troops is another very good map great Infantry, though the Vickers tank there really ruins it sometimes. Most of the Desert Maps were awesome, very well done, nicely looking and well playing, i have yet to play Aberdeen so i cant say anything bout it. To Me Supercharge is the Worst just because i cant seem to Move around in it, and the germans seemed a little out gunned. xD those damn shermans.

I've only played FH2 for like two days, but I'd say El Alamein 16 and 32 so far seem quite... boring?

16 version may quickly turn to a nadefest between middle flags, and 32 version seems too large with so few tanks (or more like, too few tanks for such a big map?). I guess it takes several arty barrages to get anywhere near the British ridge flag, and even then you have at-rifles and whatnot shooting at incoming trucks or APCs.

Mersa is superbly modeled and textured, as they all are. (Thanks for those photos Lobo). But in Mersa Matruh I would love to see it possible to enter more buildings and/or get on many roof tops. There are so many tanks in the streets I feel like I am playing pacman as an infantryman some times. On a public server without much team work that is a nightmare map for infantry. Hardly anywhere to hide away from HE shells...

Real-BadSeed;4120964Aberdeen i like the least, mainly because its too sparce and needs more vegetation. And its a little too smooth everywhere, makes playing infantry on that map a real pain. But i dont hate it. Its just my least favorite.

I agree. As an infantryman I am not fond of the few maps where the desert is like a sand-colored golf green. But there is excellent variety in the maps for a desert theater - FH2 exceeded my expectations.
