Hey guys, I know there are some little posts about this, but I wanted to make a thread so everyone could post about it specifically. It would be cool, if say you got shot in the leg, you would fall down, get back up and start limping. Its really weird how you get shot and your perfectly fine just like the minute before until your dead. We should impliment this into it, to make people not want to get shot, therefore, that will also force people to want to use teamwork. So maby do somthing like this. If you get shot in the head, your most likely going to fall down. Not saying you will die instantly in real life, but in the game, you should be dead after a head shot. If you get shot in the chest, your definatly going to fall down for a few seconds, realise if your ok, and if you are up for it get back up and run for a medic. Leg, you would most likely fall down and maybe get up if you wanted and limp. In most experiences Ive read, when you get shot, you dont get back up unless you are still standing. So, maybe we could do this in the game, if you get nailed once you fall down and lay there, wait for a medic, but if you get shot in the leg the time until you bleed to death might be a bit longer than say if you got shot in the head. We should definatly impliment a dragging affect by soldiers, you could run over, grab him and pull him to cover. Im sure alot of you guys dont want that, and youd rather die and spawn. But if you want to make this realistic, no one wants to get killed. I know theres a whole bunch of other things that are realistic in war, please dont bring that up in this forum as an excuse to not use this idea. Also, you have to think about the punch of the weapon. A colt .45, as innacurate as it was, was only usefull in close distances. But say, a rifle such as a k98, could drop you in 1 hit, just from the surprise of getting hit and not knowing what hit you. So, I know its possible, this idea rocks alot of peoples socks, so im sure you guys will like it also.

first of all, a bullet of a colt is more likely to knock you out of your socks then a bullet from a mauser, because of the higher stopping pow. this is caused by the more rounded end of the bullet (this is also one of the reasons why a pistol is inaccurate). your idea isn't bad at all though. i wonder if this is possible in fh 2. i doubt the devs will get it exactly the way you describe it, as even in soldier of fortune 2, there was the feature of areal damage- you could shoot every part of the enemies body and this would cause different damage. in-game, this was rather strange, because it happened more then one ime that i popped of a perfect headshot with a sniper, you could see the brains fly out his ears, but he still stood up and shot at me. at an other occasion, i shot someone in the knee, he started limping, fell down, lost his gun doing so, "surrenderd" sitting on his knees,after a while piked his gun back up and startd shooting at me again. i think it would also be cool that, when you are hit, you can lose your gun and have to pick it back up. or, when a grenade or shell explodes next to you, you go prone, hear nothing, and lose your gun. something like in CoD actually.

Ahh shoot, your right, colts (when with the right ammo) which was actually standard issue in 1943 did have a rounded tip. But, im not to sure the facts state that it is better than a k98. Yes, I like this idea, but I thought it was cheesy how you would just go prone in CoD. I would like to see someone fall with the ragdoll effect sometimes, and maybe other times, just go prone. Maybe a random effect? Also, EA (just as I thought) didnt get the ragdoll effect right. I think it could be done better. I dont like how if your prone and get shot, your body gets picked up and thrown back. Same with when your standing, ive shot people in that game and they go flying 20 feet backwards. Has anyone seen that mythbusters episode where they shoot the pig and try to knock him off the hook? He hardly moved until they pulled out the shotgun. One of the weapons they shot it with was the Thompson. It didnt even make the pig move. So, Im also hoping the devs will correct this :bows: :bows:

i didn't say a colt is better then a mauser, i just said it had more stopping power. at least at short range...

i know something, ever played enemy territory? ever nuked somebody with a panzerfaust?:naughty: then you must have checked the remains of your sorry victims = gore all over the place:naughty: i would not go that far in fh 2, rather some ripped clothes and an arm or leg still remaining ... i am not sick... :lies:

Thats not sick, thats realistic. As a matter of fact. Ive seen war, i just got back from Iraq. Ive seen people die before, its a thing of war. I think FH2 should definatly have somthing like that.

How about the sprint is tied to your health bar. 100% health = 100% sprint, 50% health = 50% sprint? And perhaps some player-pause (a la Counter-Strike) and/or a bit of blurry vision on impact.

Yeah, there was a game the other day and our last guy was afk and prone. The enemy who found him just strolled up to him, lay down, knifed his side and he went flying 9 feet into the air.
