I don't spend enough time here

If you come across an enemy soldiers kit and pick it up , would it be possible to only take their weapon , not weapon and uniform? I know some people wont much like this idea , and some will just tell me to look for red/blue tags , but when a German picks up a Russian kit on a map like Stalingrad for example , I can get a bit confused and not shoot at an enemy , or possibly shoot at a teamate because they have the oppositions kits. Some maps you have the time to look for the red/blue tags , but in a close quarters map I shoot first and ask questions later.. in real war , you would steal an enemy weapon , not the clothes off his back. Atleast I hope not:naughty: Any grounds to this argument?
This has been brought up many times and if i'm correct, it isn't possible to fix it in bf1942 but in bf2 the helmets don't change when you pick up an enemy kit
