In the FH1 map Supercharge there was an area that had sandstorms. While it was a very small area I still thought the effect was a really cool idea. I would like to see sandstorms all over the map in FH2. Would this be possible? Hopefully this is not a feature that is not available due to "engine limitations." Being that the maps are in the desert this would be more realistic.

Try supercharge, southernmost flag.

Ok thanks. I have not been to that flag I guess. I will have to check it out. I would like to see sandstorms all over the map and not just in one area. Also on more than one map.

Wow really? I had no idea there were sandstorms in FH2. I loved them in FH1... hmm I think they really should be used more then. I play alot and I didn't even notice them.

Yeah, it's a nice effect on the SuperCharger map. Sound goes good with it too.

It would be cool if a few of those could be put on some of the maps and be very random.

Yeah its cool effect on that flag.

Didn't that one in Desert Rose occur rather randomly? It would indeed be cool to have them happen randomly but I fear its not possible in BF2 because its missing the random code or something along those lines. :(

Actually you can place them in a number of areas and then set the randomness in the .con files. I think it would still be something you could set your watch to (as it's set on a time interval), but if it were infrequent then it would still appear to be a random event. You could also set it up to be a triggered effect, but that wouldn't work as well, however doing that way you could set it up to be very random (i.e. only happens 1% of the time when someone fires in that area).

I think making maps more historical, triggering the weather once a command post, or certain position was taken would be neat, showing off some weather disasters during war.
