Hellendorn is a very cool map. Why is it not in Forgotten Hope? Also what about some of the maps from the bf1942 expansion packs.

EA wont let any third party use the content of the expansion packs for their mods without permission, even then they wont let people use it.

:agreed Besides, FH prefers to make its own maps, rather than leech off other people's.

You only have to ask, BG converted the RtR maps for BG 0.98 RtR, they also incorporated the italians and the RtR ehicles into some of their exsisting maps.

Thats totally different, to use the Battlegroup 42 Road to Rome mod you have to own Road to Rome to play it.

one of the devs is working on an (unofficial) FH RtR mini-mod. guess progress is slow right now, and it has, of course...., no release date yet.

What's the logic of that? Are they afraid that by modding the expansion packs into FH, the FH team will make them lose profits because no one will buy those ex packs if they have BF1942?

And yet they give the okay for a BFV mod team to convert ALL of BF1942 to BFV, meaning, by the same logic, no one will buy BF1942 if they have BFV?

FH has stated in the past that tehy want FH fans to be able to buy just BF1942 and be able to play all FH. They do not want FH BF1942, FH RtR, or FH:SWoWW2. In other words they do not FH players to be required to go out and buy the modules just to play it.

They have however not been against 3rd parties doing RtR and SWoWW2 mini mods but FH does not officially support them.

You're exactly right, it's stupid. But hey, it is EA Games we're talking about here.

First they make a million moves to buy DiCE, they loose, then the next day they want to buy 20% of Ubisoft.

I hate EA Games.

Yes, I wish they had the R2R bayonet -- I'd love to skewer people in FH.
