Hi, You should defintly go with an Asus A7V333. I have an AMD 2100+ running on this mobo with 1.5 GB of DDR PC2700 and my lovely ti4600. It runs like a champ and has only let me down once. The mobo got fried 8 months after I bought it but most places have at least a one year warranty so problem solved. It runs great for online gaming and supports DDR up to 333mhz(PC2700).

This mobo is cheap - around $80 - and does what it is suppose to do.

People are so obsessed with getting the latest gfx card. I mean theres a saying if it ain't broke don't fix it! People talking about getting the geforce FX either have loads of money in which case its alright cos id do the same or like wasting their money and noticing 1 extra little dot on their screen

oh the geforce fx sucks :(

go with the ati radeon 9800 pro 256MB...

the radeon 9800 pro 128mb is out now but wait for the 256mb version which will be out in maybe a month... it's gonna blow nvidia by at least 10%. Nvidia better go with a 256MB card or they will go out of business...

I would only buy an Nvidia card, why? well the updates to the drivers they usually manage to squeeze an extra 25% or so out of your card. However i agree that ATI radeon is a much better choice in value for money. The latest 1 out i believe is quite a lot older than the FX (and a lot cheaper) yet performs almost as well and is in some games even better than the new FX.And on the subject of the FX- To be honest if you have any of the GEforce TI series cards you aint goona NEED to upgrade it for a long while yet.

well, the next generation games is coming w/ dx9 and everything... if you have a high end card such as a TI or a 9500+ stick with it for a few more months... later down the path a newer generation card will be a must.

Don't rush out and buy a new card now when you don't need it. And whats the cheapest best motherboard? Cos when these directx 9 games come out i'll need a new card and well my board won't be compatible
