I'm too cool to Post

(Searched for this, but didn't see it) It seems like it would be possible to modify the HUD aspect of BF2, to display working needles, etc on top of the cockpit texture to establish working gauges. I think the horizon indicator would be simplest, as it is already implemented in game - just needs to be moved off the window (and eliminate the ladder). The other gauges (altitude, airspeed, fuel (if limited)) would need a needle or two which might be trickier. Obviously thin green lines are not ideal, so I'm hoping the thickness and color properties are open to adjustment. If I understand correctly, the nosecam is gone, so this shouldn't interfere. Of course the only gauge that would be of real value to the pilots would be the airspeed (and fuel if limited), but the static cockpit textures are one of the more annoying aspects for me - especially in WW2 planes where the it takes up such a large portion of the view. Mas stylie por favor...

Normally I would think this would be unimportant. But if I have to stare at a cockpit (sans nosecam) Might be nice if they worked...
I take what n0e says way too seriously

Hmm knowing your alt and airspeed would be cool for highlevel bombing ^.^ Devs could make a 2 man heavy bomber and have the bomber read instruments, align bombsight. Bombs away!
