snotvod;3288304Sexy, but wouldn't that be based on a Stug III, seeing it has 6 roadwheels?
Heh, you're right of course.
Hey, that would so beat the wespe in a support role, this thing can actually take some fire! :nodding:
Exactly, it's a vehicle actually meant for infantry support. In FH now, this role is taken up mostly by artillery.
Sleestack;3291234I cant seem to find a pic much less any information on the german 28MM FJ/sPzB anti tank gun. You have probably seen it, it has 2 small wheels for rolling it around & can be moved & used by one guy in a pinch. Can anyone find a damn picture of it? I believe it was used in the african campaign.
I think what your referring to is a Solothurn 20mm A/T rifle which was originally a Swiss design adopted by the Italians. IIRC used a 20mm MG151 AP round.
Italian versions were mounted on a little carriage with wheels and were seized by Germans http://www.amsd.ch/s18/s18-history.html
Man portable is a highly suggestive term with this rifle as it was well over 500lbs.
LOL, yeah, 500 lbs IS pushing the "portable" in the sales brochure.:) Actualy I dont think thats it. I could be wrong though. Have you ever played steel panthers WaW? There is an encyclopedia in the game & its one of the few places Ive ever seen a picture of this gun outside of early video footage. http://www.steelpanthersonline.com/ Ive been having problems with the game itself wigging out on the video but its worth having it for the encyclopedia alone, great ideas in it for later on in the dev process. Give it a try & look for the 28MM FJ unit for the germans. Once you see a pic of it you will hit your head & go OMG I have seen that before! I cant find anything about it so I dont know how rare it was but my guess is it was pretty rare since I cant find out anything about it.:uhm:
Sorry missed that it was 28mm. Thats the PzB 41 with the tapered barrel. Wasa kick butt gun but discontinued because ammo was too expensive. http://www.lemaire.happyhost.org/armes/artillerie/1849.html#113977
So, when are we gona see it on the deserts of north africa droped out of the rear of a halftrack?:D Id imagine that thing has quite a kick & one hell of a loud bang when its discharged. Roll it up into in a bush & it would make life miserable for a tanker. :naughty:
Thats it right there. You can see the axle & primitive suspension for the wheels. Says production started 40/41 & ended early 43. It was the later versions of this gun that werent continued but this gun was produced & used for a while either as a fixed position gun, with its small wheels, or mounted to a vehicle.

Please start a new thread and don't jack mine. If you want to, comment on the vehicle i suggested. Not meaning to sound like an admin or anything, but it's a bit annoying...
You again? I thought we had tied you up in the shed out back?;) Sry dude. Couldnt resist.
