What about adding the sdkfz 222 for some mobile AA?

Possibly also add the Stug IIIG as a stand in until we get the proper equipment.

The Sdkfz 222 is pretty darn useless for AA work. The muzzle flash and recoil bounce the thing around, and the 20mm gun is pretty weak and slow firing. You have to be really really good to hit a fast-flying silent Hurricaine enough times to take it down.

I agree wholeheartedly with your points Ohioan. Those Churchills and Matildas added with TWO Hurricanes with 2x250kg bombs is much too much. I once singlehandedly held back the whole axis forces with a Hurricane, ending up with 30/30/0 using just one plane. And I'm not even a good pilot. If two good pilots end up in the same game it's truly a forgotten hope for the axis to win the map. Now when we take in the account the next to indestructible Churchills and MatildaII's the axis seriously get fucked with no lubrication.

The best option would probably be to replace the fighter bomber Hurricanes with ones equipped with only cannons and possibly having even one tank buster model, which model designation escapes me.

The C47 and Junkers Transport planes are easy to destroy with pretty much everything, even 6 pndr and Churchill can hit them, and the Mark VI is effective against all planes with the 50 cal and 7,7 mm machine gun, because they can be aimed almost straight up. The planes, however, are much too quiet, all of them.

I call into question the realism of having Ju52 and C47 on the same map, perhaps just have the Ju? And for god's sake, change the direction you take off in the Ju. In the C-47 you take off away from the enemy over water for an easy paradrop, in the Ju-52 you takeoff right over all hell of allied resistence and often get a tank shell in your flying plane, wheeee.

Do you never listen to me on TS make :D? It's a hurricane mk 2 D with 2 40mm tank busting cannons. It was a brute to fly but very damaging to axis armour.

Too blurry can't really make it out....but i think it is it. If you look on the left wing it has a long cannon - so it's gotta be it really.

Cool photo! NEver seen that one before.

Yeah the Mk.2 D had some neat features.

Problem with that is.. as you know if you've used the Stuka Kannonvogel, it rapes tanks even harder then bombers. Consider that 1 40mm 2pdr can kill an Axis tank from across the map. Now granted the 40mms in the Mk.2 D weren't as powerful, but you'd be shooting the top armor of the tanks.

The Mk.2 D carried High Explosive 7.7mm ammo to line up its attacks. The HE 7.7 was innefective as a damaging round because it was so small, but the pilots would fire at the tanks until the explosions could be seen then open up with the 40mms (the 7.7 and the 40mm both had the same muzzle velocity and trajectory..)

My point is, this thing would rape Axis even harder then bombers. You could kill 5 or 6 tanks in one trip as opposed to 2 or 3 with Jabos.

Make the map an assault map(keep uncappables on both sides still) Problem solved! Allies would have a REAL hard time to take the "hill" flag and that flag should be the most important flag, making UK not bleed if they take it and if the brits get that and 2 other flags then Germany starts to bleed I want to see that Hurricane with 2 40mm cannons just for pure hilarity factor.
