Lordbutter AA is always a threat to any pilot, but i dont know where you play at...There are a few pilots on WOLF who will make any other pilots day annoying...Maybe you've just been playing with a lack of good players?

They'll make any other pilot's day annoying, but not impossible. The most I'm worried about fromn other planes is them crashing into me. Best a pilot usually does to me is chip a little off my life before I take evasive maneuvers and lose him. It takes too long to kill a plane with another plane, that I barely see it as any real threat. I was on the Devil's Brigade server, Guadalcanal, flying whatever that American light bomber was, and TDB Cox AA was flying behind me trying to shoot me down, riding my tail. I slowed down, andh he flew under me, and I guess his tail clipped by belly, and we both died. The point is, he was close enough to ram me if I slowed down, all the while guns blazing, and he barely scratched my paintjob.

I have also played on TDB's server Guadal Canal... and if Trapper is in his Zero A6M and you're trying to bomb without bringing him down first, forget it. He will eat you up. It's a better plane and a better pilot than myself in a wildcat. Anyway, as it stands currently planes could stand a little spurcing up. Say.. 1. Plane v Plane more effective, except bombers which still are too fragile 2. AA toned down (especiallly AA_Allies, the german ones are fine) I have no problem blasting dozens of aircraft from the sky with the flak burst. In reality only very close and low would a plane fear AA more than a fighter. AA generally missed. 3. Seconds of gun time in fighters is waaay too long. Most WWII fighters could fire for 7-12 seconds before running out of ammo, in FH I can fire for a minute.

I'm really sorry to say, but I think the flight and plane damage system in the BF:V WWII mod is damm near perfect. The physics may be a tad too maneuverable for some of your tastes, but it makes for fantastic dogfights and ground attacks.

The damage is the best tho. Air to Air damage is great. You can actually hit the other plane if you aim at them and shoot (gee, what a concept) and a few seconds of fire will take them down. The tracer effects are great too.

The AA (IMHO) is way better too. You don't have to lead a mile and a helf ahead of the plane, and it will actually do little bits of damage on near misses, and rape you good if you stay over it too long.

*l* I'm not sure what good saying this does, but oh well.

'LIGHTNING [NL']attachment.php?attachmentid=13624&stc=1 I mean this kind of dust.

attachment.php?attachmentid=13625&stc=1 And water ofcourse.

Now that looks nice but the P38 flying low level looks nicer with its twin trails of water:)

My great-grandfather manned the AA guns against the Germans in Europe during his time in the military, and he said to me that most often, the aim of AA wasn't too shoot down a plane, but to force it off course or damage it so it couldn't complete its mission. And as for dust trails, I'm sure that the PIVH has dust trails coming up from behind the tracks when it runs, and that doesn't seem to affect anything.

Depends where you were, my grandfather on my dads side was a 'pom pom' gunner in the Royal Navy from 1940-1946 serving in the Med, North Atlantic and finally the Pacific Fleet.

In the Navy he was told to directly shoot at anything and get it out the air ASAP, but then bofors and ship mounted AA guns are for directed fire rather then flak which is relying on putting shrapnel near to planes.

I would like the flak puffs to do more prox damage, especially the flak88 aa rounds.

Afew other things Id like to added to planes, for instance in the bombers with multiple positions Id like the gun emplacements to have iron sights. ScreenShot479.jpg I think it would look alot better. Id also like to see the "bigger" bombers have interiors that you can walk around in like the transport plane on crete. ScreenShot97.jpg It would be a nice touch to have a detailed interior.

Well, bomber interiors would add to the modelling time, but it would be nice if one or more of the gunner positions entered into the cabin... imagine repairing in flight! Making bombers a real option in the otherwise die-by-the-dozen world online
